Czech Republic's Euros historypublished at 21:00 British Summer Time 18 June
HT: Portugal 0-0 Czech Republic
The closest the Czech Republic have come to winning the Euros in their current guise came in their major tournament debut, following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia.
That was at Euro 96, when Karel Poborsky et al reached the final at Wembley - but were beaten 2-1 by Germany, Oliver Bierhoff scoring a golden goal.
The Czechs have qualified for every Euros as an independent nation, reaching the knock-outs on four of seven occasions.
If you want to include Czechoslovakia's record, they do have a Euros title on their books - winning the 1976 final via a shoot-out, with Antonin Panenka scoring the winner with THAT penalty.
