UEFA Europa League
All competitions
Toulouse and LASK are meeting for a very first time in European competition, with this the French club’s first such match against an Austrian side.
LASK’s only previous European game against a French side saw them lose 0-1 to Metz in the 1995 Intertoto Cup after Cyrille Pouget’s winner.
Toulouse have only lost two of 11 previous home games in major European competitions (excl. qualifiers – W6 D3), with this their first since a 1-0 win over Partizan Belgrade in the UEFA Europa League in December 2009.
LASK have won each of their last five away games in the group stage of a major European competition – two in the 2020-21 UEFA Europa League and all three in the 2021-22 UEFA Europa Conference League.
On MD1 of this season’s UEFA Europa League, LASK had the lowest passing accuracy (66.9%) and were one of only two sides (along with Servette) not to have a single open play sequence of 10 or more passes in length. Indeed, only AEK Athens (139) completed fewer passes overall than the Austrian side (172).
