We use a very clever app at the media conferences, which is an instant spoken translation.

The Dutch journalists asked Wiegman about her relationship with Netherlands coach Andries Jonker and who is in the other's head more.

"That's a very good question," Wiegman answers.

"Of course we know each other very well. I think he’s more emotional but both of us have prepared excellently with our staff."

Understandly, there were plenty of Dutch reporters in the media conference asking Sarina Wiegman questions.

There were a few laughs when she was asked about being a "control freak" but her answers to most questions were very similar.

She was repeating the message that England are not focused on anything else except from delivering the gameplan.

More from Alessia Russo on what she is learning from this tournament: "Every tournaments makes me learn something different and brings out different parts of my game.

"You have to adapt and you learn a lot from these kinds of experiences. We've also got players like Lucy [Bronze], Alex [Greenwood] and people like that who have been to lots of major tournaments.

"We can lean on them in times as well."

Now a question for the England manager in Dutch which she answers in his native language then another question: do you remind you players of the jeopardy involved?

"We don't talk about consequences. We talk about the game-plan, what we have to do to be at our best and how we can exploit spaces that the Netherlands leave behind."

Alessia Russo on how important it is to play without fear against the Netherlands: "Massively. We want everyone to be as free as possible out on the pitch and going forward.

"It's a big part of what we are as a team. We have players who can create something out of nothing, and making sure everyone is in a good head-space is important.

"Ultimately we have a game-plan but we have individuals as well who can create a bit of magic."

England forward Alessia Russo is asked whether the France defeat has hit the players' confidence.

"No, it's tournament football and you go through lots of highs and lows to where you want to be.

"Ultimately we were disappointed after that game, more so with ourselves. We came up against a great France team but we know we can be better and we have high standards as a team.

"We have had a good few days to switch off and reflect and now we are ready to go again."

"What we are occupied with is playing football, executing a task and sticking together, getting the right connections, working really hard, and doing everything to win the game."

England’s defeat by France in their opening Euro 2025 game leaves their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stage in the balance.

Opta’s prediction model gives Sarina Wiegman’s side only a 49.9% chance of advancing to the quarter-finals and a 10.8% probability of retaining their title – down from corresponding figures of 73.3% and 16.4% before the tournament.

The Lionesses have never lost their first two group matches at a European Championship. The last time they began with a defeat at the tournament was in 2013, when Hope Powell’s team were beaten by Spain in their opener and had to rely on an injury-time Toni Duggan goal to salvage a 1-1 draw against Russia in their next fixture.

England know a loss against the Dutch on Wednesday, coupled with France avoiding defeat against Wales a few hours later, would end their chances of advancing from Group D.

    .

The pressure is on England and manager Sarina Wiegman, who may have to face some tough questions.

They were poor against France - who it has to be said, are a very good side - so this is a must-win game against the Netherlands.

England have never lost back-to-back games under Wiegman and Saturday's defeat was her first at a Euros.

Is she feeling the heat a little bit? Did the manner of that defeat hit the players' confidence?
