Motherwell received a club-record fee for Lennon Miller in August

Scotland midfielder Lennon Miller scored on his full debut for Udinese as they beat Palermo in the second round of the Coppa Italia.

Miller, 19, signed for the Serie A club this summer from Motherwell for a reported £4.75m fee.

He made his first appearance from the bench in a 3-0 defeat by AC Milan on Saturday, but was handed his first start for the visit of Palermo.

Galatasaray loanee Nicolo Zaniolo - who spent the 2023-24 season with Aston Villa - opened for scoring before Miller made it two on the stroke of half-time, heading home after Adam Buksa's close-range shot was saved.

Miller was substituted on 70 minutes before Patryk Peda scored a late consolation for Serie B Palermo.

Udinese progress to the last 16, where they will take on Juventus.
