Former Fulham midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa was the hero for Napoli
Serie A champions Napoli snatched victory with virtually the last kick of the game against Cagliari in their first home match of the season.
Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa turned in Stanislav Lobotka's low cross with a fine first-time finish as the clock ticked into the 95th minute.
It sparked wild celebrations from Napoli manager Antonio Conte and his bench as the holders won at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona having been frustrated throughout by the visitors.
In a first half of few chances Napoli came close to an opener when Scott McTominay skipped through tackles shortly before half-time, but was denied by a save from Cagliari keeper Elia Caprile.
Former Manchester United midfielder McTominay, who is on the Ballon d'Or shortlist, started on the left wing for the second successive match.
The 28-year-old lined up alongside former Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne, who started his first home match since his summer move to Naples.
Napoli enjoyed 62.5% possession and had 17 touches in the opposition area in the first half, but struggled to create against stubborn Cagliari.
The hosts continued to push after the interval, full-back Leonardo Spinazzola having a shot well saved by Caprile at his near post.
And McTominay nearly snatched the three points in spectacular style with a close-range overhead kick which was deflected wide.
But just as Napoli looked like they would have to settle for a point, Lobotka - in his 200th appearance for the club - produced the cross for Anguissa to finish smartly.
It means Napoli follow their opening-day win at Sassuolo with another victory, and join Cremonese and Roma with 100% Serie A records from two games.
