Barcelona have scored 12 goals from substitutes in La Liga this season, only Atletico Madrid (15) have scored more.

Dani Olmo scored his first goal since November as Barcelona went top of La Liga with victory at Las Palmas.

The substitute latched on to Lamine Yamal's 62nd-minute pass and saw his shot bounce off the crossbar before dropping into the net.

Fellow substitute Ferran Torres also fired in off the crossbar from Raphinha's pass in stoppage time to double Barca's lead.

Hansi Flick's side controlled proceedings but it took an hour before they were able to break the deadlock.

Former Barca forward Sandro sent a low strike wide of the target as Las Palmas went in search of an equaliser.

Raphinha was pulled back in the box by Viti Rozada at the start of the second half but the visitors were not awarded a penalty.

Julian Alvarez scored twice as Atletico Madrid beat Valencia 3-0 earlier on Saturday and are a point behind Barcelona in second place.

Real Madrid could go level on points with Barca at the summit if they are victorious against Girona on Sunday (15:15 GMT).
