Manchester City boss Gareth Taylor said his side have shown a positive reaction after Saturday's Women's Super League defeat by Chelsea.

The 2-0 loss at Stamford Bridge was City's first defeat in all competitions this season and Taylor wants his side to bounce back when they face Hammarby this evening.

"I’ve been pleased with the reaction since Chelsea, the margins were tight in that game," said Taylor.

"Being able to train for last few days has been good, we’ve put thought into the game and want to finish on a high [before the international break]."

We're only just over halfway through the Women's Champions League group phase and three teams have booked their quarter-final spot with more surely to follow this evening.

Meanwhile, Arsenal sit second in Group C with two wins and a loss.

Bayern Munich take on Valarenga in the early kick off and could seal their progression to the quarter-finals if they avoid defeat.

Arsenal will be through to the quarter-finals if they beat Juventus and Valerenga do not beat Bayern.

Manchester City currently sit top of Group D with three wins from three and could ensure their qualification to the quarter-finals with a win or a draw this evening.

This is the second meeting between Hammarby and Manchester City in nine days. The Swedes make one change to the side that lost 2-0 in Manchester on 12 November.

Switzerland midfielder Smilla Vallotto, 20, comes in for Norway's Vilde Hasund.

Former Manchester City midfielder Julie Blakstad again starts against her old club. Norway international Blakstad, 23, made 36 appearances for City - scoring 10 times - before her move to Sweden in January.

Manchester City boss Gareth Taylor makes three changes to the side that started the 2-0 defeat at Chelsea in the WSL last Saturday.

Goalkeeper Khiara Keating, 20, comes in for Ayaka Yamashita, while midfielder Laura Blindkilde Brown - this week called up by England at senior level for the first time - and 19-year-old defender Gracie Prior also start.

It is right-back Prior's first senior start for the club.

Netherlands duo Kerstin Casparij and Jill Roord are not involved.
