There's big gaps in the midfield for Crystal Palace to run through but the Doncaster defence is well organised and dealing with pretty much anything once the visitors get into the final third.

Will Hughes charges through the middle before playing a ball through the defence for Daichi Kamada, but there's too much on the pass and Teddy Sharman-Lowe scoops up the ball.

Doncaster fans are loving some of their side's defending, every time a ball into the box is kicked away they cheer loudly, as Marc Guehi discovers as his cross is headed out of the area by Tom Anderson.

Doncaster are doing well here with 20 minutes on the clock. They are more than holding their own and have played some decent stuff at times.

Hmm, Daniel Munoz is probably lucky to escape a caution as he catches Ethan Ennis late.

That's how Crystal Palace will break down Doncaster by moving the ball quickly up to Jean-Phillippe Mateta. Get runners off him and you'll cause problems.

Daniel Munoz plays a good ball into the box for Justin Devenny but Tom Anderson covers well and Devenny's cross is deflected behind for a corner, from which Teddy Sharman-Lowe makes a confident claim, prompting big cheers from the home fans.

Then Crystal Palace attempt to counter but there's a heavy touch from Will Hughes on the edge of the box and the ball bounces off him and behind for a goal kick as he tries to make up for that poor touch.

It's good play, the ball comes into Billy Sharp and he sets it and is unlucky.

It's really good build-up play from Doncaster.

A promising attack by Doncaster as some neat passing down the left leads to the ball finding Billy Sharp in the box. The veteran striker lays it off for Ethan Ennis, but he has no power in his effort.

The visitors are controlling things now and win a free-kick in a dangerous area when Will Hughes is fouled.

Hughes sends the ball in, but the flag goes up for an offside.

Ten minutes in but no chances yet.

The Doncaster defence manages to deal with three Chris Richards long throws into the box in a row, before Teddy Sharman-Lowe punches away a ball into the box aimed at the dangerous Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Everything is in front of Crystal Palace. The strikers are making good runs in behind but they have to get it wide and stretch the pitch.

Adam Wharton has had a lot of good touches.

Justin Devenny has to get in the game. This is where they miss Eberechi Eze and Ismaila Sarr because they have the pace.

Crystal Palace are finding their rhythm a bit now having managed to quell the early enthusiasm shown by Doncaster. The Premier League side are taking their time with their passes and not doing anything risky.

Some good high pressing by the home side in these early stages and they cause a little panic in the Crystal Palace backline.

You saw Trevoh Chalobah, he came here and now he's gone back to Chelsea and doing well. I thought he was brilliant when he came on loan.

I think it's a great signing for Ben Chilwell, he doesn't have to move house, he's still back in London and he's moving to a club that will give him an opportunity. It's a fantastic move for Crystal Palace. If you're a youngster and you're like Tyrick Mitchell and others and you've got an England international, Ben Chilwell is a top player.

I was disappointed in how he was treated at Chelsea but Chelsea's loss is Palace's gain.
