Jessica Naz scored her third goal in the Women's Super League this season

Drew Spence scored a stunning goal in added time as Tottenham beat West Ham on the final day of the Women's Super League season.

Jessica Naz's pass on the edge of the box found Spence who curled into the top corner.

Before Spence finished with a flourish, Naz's own well-struck effort into the far corner had restored Spurs' lead as they finished the campaign well.

Beaten FA Cup finalists Spurs went ahead after four minutes when Martha Thomas reacted quickest to a defensive error from West Ham goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold, clipping the ball into the box for Bethany England to fire into the bottom corner.

Shortly after the break, Honoka Hayashi's through ball was met by Riko Ueki whose precise finish found the back of the net from a tight angle.

West Ham may have thought they had done enough for a point before the late interventions from Naz and Spence said otherwise.

Tottenham end their campaign in sixth position while the Hammers finish the season in 11th place, nine points above relegated Bristol City.

A season of mixed fortunes

Tottenham have not lost when leading at half-time in the Women's Super League this season

West Ham have an obvious weakness on the road, even when making short trips such as this.

They have won just one of their last 10 away WSL games (D2 L7), and in that time the Hammers have conceded two or more goals on seven occasions.

Ueki's equaliser was the main moment of quality from the away side in a display that encapsulated their lowly league position. They have failed to win any of their last nine league matches.

After West Ham equalised, England had two good chances in quick succession. The England international got in behind for the first chance, latching on to a ball over the top but firing over the bar, before she sent a header wide.

This has been an improved campaign for Tottenham in their first season under Robert Vilahamn.

They have accrued 13 more points than last term and finished three places higher, while reaching the FA Cup final.

Winning a London derby was certainly a positive way to sign off for the summer, scoring three goals in a game for the first time since January.
