  2. Duran, Coutinho, David & Gomes - international round-uppublished at 09:01 British Summer Time

There have been some pretty significant moves outside of the Premier League this weekend too.

Friday saw former Liverpool and Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho leave Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee, with the 33-year-old making last season's loan move to Brazil side Vasco de Gama into a permanent one.

On the Continent, England midfielder Angel Gomes completed a free transfer to Marseille after running down his contract at Lille.

While Canada striker Jonathan David, Gomes's former team-mate at the Ligue 1 club, has also completed a free transfer to Juventus.

Both players had been linked with possible moves to the Premier League.

Another player with Premier League connections, Colombia striker Jhon Duran, has joined Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce on a one-year loan, six months after leaving Aston Villa to sign for Saudi side Al Nassr in a £71m deal.

Arsenal have also made strides towards two more signings over the weekend.

They have agreed personal terms with England winger Noni Madueke, but are yet to finalise a deal with selling club Chelsea.

And the Gunners are edging closer to adding a new striker to their ranks, in the shape of Sporting's Swedish front man Viktor Gyokeres.

We will look closer at those two deals, as well as the marquee signing of Real Sociedad's Spain midfielder Martin Zubimendi, in a moment.
