Joe Low headed in a stoppage-time winner as Wycombe came from behind to beat Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium.

The former Bristol City defender met Aaron Morley’s set-piece to earn the Chairboys a third straight win in League One, against the club the centre-back’s father played for.

Rovers had taken the lead with the game’s first shot on target after 18 minutes as Scott Sinclair netted his first League One goal of the season.

Pirates midfielder Jamie Lindsay headed a Wycombe goal-kick forward for Ruel Sotiriou to turn into the path of the on-rushing Sinclair, with the experienced winger calmly slotting into the corner of the net.

Richard Kone and David Wheeler threatened from corners in the first half but it was not until 13 minutes from full-time that Wycombe finally got back on terms.

Defender Daniel Harvie collected Morley’s excellent pass and cut in on to his right foot before curling high past Josh Griffiths from just inside the area for what was also his first goal of the league campaign.

That looked set to be the way the match ended but Low struck six minutes into stoppage time to consign Rovers, who had come close to doubling their lead in the 54th minute when Luke Thomas poked just past the far post, to a fourth successive league defeat.
