Nottingham Forest have progressed from all four of their FA Cup ties against Bristol City, most recently in the fifth round in 1991-92.
Bristol City have won just two of their last 10 meetings with Nottingham Forest in all competitions (D5 L3), though both of those victories have come away from home.
Nottingham Forest beat Blackpool 3-2 in a replay in the third round. This is the first time they’ve had consecutive FA Cup ties go to a replay in the same campaign since 1995-96, eliminating Stoke in the third round, Oxford in the fourth and Tottenham in the fifth.
Bristol City have progressed from each of their last three FA Cup fourth round ties, including a 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion last season. They’re looking to reach the fifth round of the competition in consecutive campaigns for the first time since 1966-67/1967-68.
Having beaten West Ham in the third round, Bristol City are looking to eliminate more than one top-flight opponent in the same FA Cup campaign for the first time since 1919-20 (Arsenal and Bradford City).
