Highlights: Glens edge Coleraine to extend unbeaten run

Headed goals in either half from Jordan Jenkins and Kodi Lyons-Foster helped earn Glentoran a 2-1 win at Coleraine and extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to 15 games.

Matthew Shevlin halved the deficit in the final minute of normal time with his 17th league goal of the season but the Glens held on for all three points.

Glentoran broke the deadlock just after the half-hour mark from the only bit of quality in the opening 45 minutes.

Danny Amos swung a free-kick from the right into the heart of the Coleraine defence where Jordan Jenkins outjumped Lyndon Kane to head past Rory Brown from 12 yards.

The home side failed to muster an attempt on goal in the first half and were forced into an early reshuffle when striker Declan McManus hobbled off to be replaced by top scorer Shevlin.

Strike partner Jamie McGonigle forced Glens' keeper Daniel Gyollai into his first save of the night two minutes after the restart with a well-taken free-kick before Levi Ives blasted a second dead ball high over the crossbar moments later.

At the other end Christie Pattisson passed up a brilliant opportunity to double his side's advantage on the hour when he shot straight at Coleraine 'keeper Rory Brown after being put through by Jenkins.

But the Glens got the second goal their efforts deserved with seven minutes remaining when Lyons-Foster rose highest at the back post to direct his header past the despairing dive of Rory Brown from a Marcus Kane cross.

It looked all over at this stage but Shevlin's late goal ensured a nervy final few minutes for the visitors who close the gap on leaders Linfield to 17 points with two games in hand.
