If Liverpool are to make the knockout stages of the Champions League this season, then they’ll have to do it the hard way.
Both Madrid clubs, last season’s beaten finalists and a trip to the cauldron that is Galatasaray. Real Madrid, managed by former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso, is the most eye catching tie for the Premier League champions; while the visit of Atletico Madrid will pose an altogether different challenge for Arne Slot’s team.
Summer signing Hugo Ekitike will return to his former club Eintracht Frankfurt which will be a huge occasion for the French striker while Slot will head back to Holland where his team face Feyenoord. Marseille and Qarabag won't fill Liverpool with huge dread.
