Carrick cruised into the Irish Cup quarter-finals thanks to a comfortable away victory over Championship side Ballinamallard United last weekend.

Cian O'Malley gave the visitors a first-half lead and Paul Heatley added a second before Carrick's Seanan Clucus was red-carded.

However, Rangers went on to add a third through Luke McCullough.

Coleraine come into tonight's game on the back of a 2-1 extra-time defeat by Dungannon Swifts in the Irish Cup on Saturday.

Bigirimana put the Stangmore Park hosts in front but Coleraine levelled eight minutes from the end of normal time when debutant Declan McManus got on the end of a Jamie Glackin to divert the ball past Declan Dunne.

Galvin seized on an Andy Mitchell ball into the box, rounded his marker and planted the ball low into the bottom corner of the goal for the extra-time winner.

Irish Cup holders Cliftonville beat Glenavon 3-2 in a dramatic encounter on Saturday to earn a place in the quarter-finals.

Arran Pettifer puts the Reds in front and Michael O'Connor levelled before a superb Rory Hale strike gave the Reds a late late.

There was still time for a last-gasp Glenavon equaliser from Barney McKeown before Jonny Addis clinched victory for Jim Magilton's side in extra-time.

Anyone coming here tonight hoping to witness a shoot-out between two of the league's joint leading goalscorers will have to exercise a degree of patience, at least in the short-term.

Coleraine's Matthew Shevlin and Cliftonville's Joe Gormley, alongside Joel Cooper on 16 for the season, both start on the bench as respective head coaches Dean Shiels and Jim Magilton make full use of their squads.

The Bannsiders boss makes three changes to the side which started in Saturday's extra-time Irish Cup defeat at Dungannon Swifts as Ronan Doherty and Kyle McClelland sit this one out completely while Shevlin is named among the replacements.
