Man City beat United at derby to go to Women's League Cup semis
Teenage forward Lily Murphy starred as Manchester City defeated Manchester United 2-1 to reach the semi-finals of the Women's League Cup.
There were big wins for holders Arsenal and last season's finalists Chelsea, who beat Brighton 4-0 and Durham 5-0 respectively.
West Ham came from behind to beat Tottenham 2-1 and complete the semi-final line-up.
City's 18-year-old forward Murphy scored and assisted in the first half at Leigh Sports Village, either side of a Millie Turner strike, as City avenged Sunday's 4-2 Women's Super League defeat by United.
Pre-match talk centered around Khiara Keating's poor performance three days earlier, Ella Toone's hat-trick, a potential Chloe Kelly move across Manchester and the continued absence of City attackers Lauren Hemp and Khadija Shaw. However, it was Murphy who stole the show.
She created City's opener with a clever bit of wing play, beating Aoife Mannion to the byline before firing in a low cross that Laura Coombs swept past Phallon Tullis-Joyce at the near post.
City looked comfortable but were pegged back 10 minutes before the break when Turner took down a cross before swivelling and firing pas Keating from close range.
Just as the half was petering out, Murphy scored with a stunning effort. The teenager cut inside past Mannion - a theme of the evening - and curled a strike in off the far post, her second senior goal for the club.
The introduction of Elisabeth Terland early in the second half injected fresh impetus into United's attacks, but the Norwegian striker volleyed wide when gifted a chance to equalise.
City goalkeeper Keating looked more assured than she did on Sunday, although she was perhaps fortunate to not concede a penalty in the final 10 minutes when she collided with Terland when coming for a through ball. The 20-year-old came off second-best and was replaced by Ayaka Yamashita.
Semi-final draw
Manchester City v Arsenal
West Ham v Chelsea
Ties will be played on either Wednesday 5 or Thursday 6 February.
Holders Arsenal power through

Mariona Caldentey scored once and assisted twice against Brighton
Arsenal scored three goals in a frantic five minutes to set up a 4-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.
The holders were frustrated for 65 minutes by Brighton's determined defensive performance before substitute Mariona Caldentey changed the game, pouncing on a loose pass from goalkeeper Melina Loeck to set up Frida Maanum's opener.
Another Brighton error allowed Katie McCabe to double Arsenal's lead three minutes later before Caldentey turned provider once again, teeing up Kyra Cooney-Cross, who curled home a rocket from outside the box.
Caldentey deservedly put the icing on the cake with a stylish lob in the 83rd minute, extending Arsenal's unbeaten run under head coach Renee Slegers to 13 matches.
Chelsea thrash Durham

Oriane Jean-Francois' goal was her second in all competitions this season
Chelsea, who were beaten 1-0 by Arsenal in last year's final, put on a ruthless second-half display to overcome Championship side Durham 5-0.
Durham, the lowest-ranked side left in the competition, held their own for the first 45 minutes and went into the break only 1-0 down, having conceded to an Aggie Beever-Jones header.
But after Oriane Jean-Francois doubled the hosts' lead with the pick of the goals - an impressive volley from the edge of the box - Chelsea scored another three in four second-half minutes through Erin Cuthbert, Guro Reiten and Maika Hamano to put the game out of sight.
Hammers into last four with comeback win

West Ham went out in the group stages of last season's Women's League Cup
West Ham staged a first-half comeback to beat Tottenham 2-1 and set up a Women's League Cup semi-final against London rivals Chelsea.
Spurs took the lead through Martha Thomas, who guided her header expertly past Eleanor Heeps on 10 minutes. Despite their early dominance, however, Tottenham conceded from West Ham's first shot on target through Seraina Piubel.
This goal brought confidence to a Hammers side thrashed 5-0 by Chelsea last weekend.
Kirsty Smith's free-kick on the stroke of half-time won it for the Hammers as her long-range ball evaded everyone in the penalty area and found a way inside the post.
