Glentoran 0-0 Cliftonville
Shane McEleney is down receiving treatment.
This would be a big blow for Glentoran if he had to be brought off.
Gormley, as he did in the 2022 BetMcLean Cup final scored as the Reds claimed the trophy
Substitute Joe Gormley scored an extra-time winner as Cliftonville beat Glentoran 1-0 to win the BetMcLean Cup at Windsor Park.
Gormley prodded home in the 99th minute from Ryan Corrigan's cross as the Reds claimed the cup for a seventh time and the first since 2022.
Cliftonville missed a plethora of chances in normal time, with Gormley going closest as he forced a stunning save from Daniel Gyollai.
Jordan Jenkins was thwarted by Lewis Ridd in Glentoran's best chance as their wait for a first BetMcLean Cup since 2010 goes on.
Curran was denied by Gyollai after racing through
It was a frantic opening to the game and Glentoran went close to opening the scoring on six minutes as Kodi Lyons-Foster blazed over the crossbar after Fuad Sule's cross found him at the back post.
Goalmouth action was hard to come by until Cliftonville eventually got a foothold in the game and went close a number of times.
On 26 minutes Ryan Curran had his head in his hands as after being played through, a heavy touch allowed Gyollai to come out smother at his feet.
Curran squandered another opportunity soon after as his shot from close range was blocked by Aaron Wightman when the forward looked destined to find the bottom corner.
The lively Parsons then forced a fine stop from Gyollai as the Reds finished the half strongly.
Gormley flicked home at the near post to win it for Cliftonville
The second half was played at the same high-energy tempo as the first, with Glentoran guilty of missing two guilt-edged chances soon after the restart.
David Fisher capitalised on a mistake from Jack Keaney, but bearing down on goal, his tame effort was straight at Ridd.
Ridd then produced a point-blank save with his feet to thwart Jenkins' sweeping effort.
After a lull in the game, Cliftonville went close as Luke Conlan was inches away from finding the top corner on 64 minutes, but his outside of the boot effort flew just over the crossbar.
Gyollai produced a magnificent save to keep Glentoran in the game with five minutes to go, tipping Gormley's header over the crossbar.
Gormley, who netted twice the last time the Reds won this trophy against Coleraine, was not to be denied in extra-time.
He nipped in at the front post to flick the ball beyond Gyollai and into the far corner after a driving run from substitute Corrigan.
Jonathan Russell had a superb chance to take the game to penalties, but he failed to get a good connection on his shot with the goal at his mercy as the ball bounced over the crossbar as Cliftonville held on for victory.
