This is the fourth FA Cup tie between Nottingham Forest and Ipswich – the Tractor Boys progressed via a replay in 1980-81, while Forest have won the last two meetings 3-0 (January 1989 and January 1997).
Ipswich are winless in their last 15 away games against Nottingham Forest in all competitions (D6 L9) since a 1-0 win in December 1999. They’ve already lost 1-0 at the City Ground in the Premier League this term.
Nottingham Forest have lost four of their last five FA Cup fifth round ties, going out at this stage of the competition with a 1-0 home loss to Manchester United last season. The exception was a 2-1 win against Huddersfield in 2021-22.
