Stockport boosted their League One play-off hopes with a comfortable 3-0 win over Stevenage at Edgeley Park.

Jayden Fevrier put County ahead while Luther James-Wildin's own goal and Jack Diamond's low finish after half-time secured victory.

Fevrier cut inside from the right after the quarter-hour and curled wide, but the winger grabbed the opener after 25 minutes when his deflected effort flew past Murphy Cooper.

Immediately after half-time, Tanto Olaofe burst into the box and crossed dangerously for a free Diamond who could only blast over.

Boro's Dan Butler stabbed wide before County swiftly grabbed their second when Olaofe's good work left Kyle Wootton to tap home, with the ball ricocheting off James-Wildin on its way in.

Dan Kemp's free header from Eli King's corner failed to halve the deficit, and Wootton should have added County's third before the hour but directed his own header harmlessly over.

Fevrier drew a low stop from Boro goalkeeper Cooper, before Diamond took his time to net County's third with a composed 72nd-minute finish.
