Wrexham have scored more home league goals (68) since the start of the 2023-24 season than any other side in England’s top four tiers
Wrexham maintained their unbeaten start to the new League One season with an emphatic 3-0 win over Reading at the Racecourse.
Ollie Palmer headed beyond Joel Pereira from Ryan Barnett's cross in the 23rd minute before Elliot Lee lashed home from close range to double the home side's lead 10 minutes later.
Andy Cannon struck his side's third from 25 yards out early in the second-half to ensure Wrexham - who saw Paul Mullin return from injury as a late substitute - sit on seven points from their opening three league games of the campaign.
Defeat was Reading's first in the league this season and their first to Wrexham in eight meetings between the sides.
Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson told BBC Radio Wales:
"I'm very pleased. It was a game where we knew what we had to do well.
"The first goal, Barney's [Ryan Barnett] put a great cross in and it's a terrific header. The second goal, I hope that move gets the credit it deserves.
"The third one kills the game off and we've restricted a good side.
"I thought we handled them [Reading] really well today and we also played some great football."
Reading boss Ruben Selles told BBC Radio Berkshire:
"It was a difficult game. We knew coming here, we would need to defend situations.
"It's a hard lesson to learn today, we have been there before.
"They're a good team, but I also think we could do a lot more today."
