    Ballymena United v Carrick Rangers

An enforced break last week due to the match against Larne being postponed may have worked in Ballymena's favour with the extra rest allowing some players to recover from niggling injries.

The Sky Blues make one change from their victory at Cliftonville in their last outing with Ben Kennedy, having served a one-match ban, replacing Alex Gawne in the starting XI.

Carrick also make one change from the side which lost at home to Dungannon last week as Kurtis Forsythe takes the place of Josh Andrews.

Ballymena United: O'Neill, Rocks, McCallion, O'Donnell, Lafferty, Devlin, Carson, Kennedy, Scott, McCurry, Devine.

Subs: Johnston, Nelson, Gawne, Moore, Loughran, Brown, McMurray.

Carrick Rangers: Glendinning, Forsythe, McCullough, Buchanan-Rolleston, Crowe, Clucas, Cherry, Maciulaitis, Heatley, Gibson, McGuckin.

Subs: McCauley, Surgenor, Gordon, Cushley, Allen, Andrews, Given.

    Glenavon v Coleraine (15:00 GMT)

A first home game in charge for new Glenavon manager Paddy McLaughlin as he comes up against one of his former clubs.

Both teams come into this game on the back of losses last weekend - today's hosts losing at derby rivals Portadown while the Bannsiders went down at home to Crusaders.

The Lurgan Blues boss makes two changes to that which started at Shamrock Park as Keith Ward drops to the bench while Callum Barney doesn't make the matchday squad.

In their place come Christopher Atherton and James Carroll.

Dean Shiels goes one better, making three changes to his starting line-up as Kyle McClelland misses out because of suspension and Ciaron Harkin and Jamie McGonigle are listed among the substitutes.

In come Jack Scott, Connor Murray and Corey Smith.

Glenavon: Deane, O'Sullivan, Marshall, Snoddy, Malone, McDaid, Campbell, Doona, Atherton, McKeown (c), Carroll.

Subs: Byrne, Toure, Quinn, O'Connor, Ward, Doran, McGovern.

Coleraine: Little, Kane (c), Jarvis, Boyle, Stewart, Campbell, Scott, Shevlin, Murray, Glackin, Smith.

Subs: Brown, Spence, Carse, Harkin, McLaughlin, McGonigle, Devine.

  4. Pepper's predictions!published at 14:19 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

This is what Cliftonville midfielder Conor Pepper is going with for today's game - do you agree?

    Ballymena United v Carrick Rangers

Jim Ervin has had a good couple months at the start of this season and being at home, they'll favour a win at the Showgrounds. Carrick always make it difficult, and [Stephen] Baxter has certainly steadied the ship. They've started to collect points in games that earlier in the season would've passed them by. I still fancy Ballymena to take the points.

    Prediction: 2-1

    Crusaders v Dungannon Swifts

Dungannon have been great this year, they play good football and score goals and should give a good account of themselves. I just can't see them going and getting the result. Seaview is a difficult place to win and it should be a physical one!

    Prediction: 2-2

    Glenavon v Coleraine

It's no secret Glenavon are struggling for form. It'd be interesting to see if Paddy McLaughlin can get his style of play going. I think as long as they collect points, they'll be happy.

    Predictions: 1-1

    Linfield v Portadown

To go to Windsor and win is hard, and I think the Ports will struggle. Against the bottom six, Linfield never seem to drop points.

    Prediction 3-1

    Loughgall v Glentoran

Dean Smith's team have found it hard in their second season in the Premiership. Glentoran should be coming into this one bouncing, especially off the back of a win in the 'Big Two' last weekend.

    Prediction: 0-2

    Loughgall v Glentoran (15:00 GMT)

Dean Smith makes two changes to the side who were defeated by Cliftonville last week with Caolan McAleer and Lewis Francis replacing Conor McDermott and Adam Towe.

There are also two switches to Glentoran's starting XI from last weekend when they were the 1-0 victors against Linfield.

Cammy Palmer and Jordan Jenkins come into the side for the suspended James Douglas and David Fisher, who drops to the bench.

Loughgall: Gartside, Rea, Murdock, Kelly, Andrade, Ferris, McAleer, Norton, Gibson, Balde, Francis. .

Subs: Turker, Boyd, Harvey, Towe, Kelly, Teggart.

Glentoran: Gyollai, Kane, Hvid, Sule, Connolly, Donnelly, Palmer, Amos, Wightman, Singleton, Jenkins.

Subs: Mills, Lyons-Foster, Wassim, Fisher, Lindsay, Russell, Thorndike.

    Linfield v Portadown (15:00 GMT)

David Healy and Niall Currie make two changes after contrasting results in their recent derby encounters.

The Blues, smarting from a 1-0 defeat to 10-man Glentoran, bring in Euan East and Matthew Orr for Josh Archer and Dane McCullough.

Meanwhile the Ports, buoyed by their victory over Glenavon, see Dougie Wilson and Ben Wylie replacing Lee Chapman and Gary Thompson, who both miss out this afternoon.

The visitors come to Windsor Park as the league's in-form side, but they face a formidable challenge in south Belfast, having not won at this venue since February 2015.

Linfield: Walsh, East, Whiteside, Shields, Millar, Cooper, Ballantyne, Mulgrew, McGee, Fitzpatrick, Orr.

Subs: Johns, Hall, McKee, Fallon, McCullough, McKay, Thompson

Portadown: McCarey, Altintop, Wilson, MacKinnon, McCawl, Mayse, McCullough, Fyfe, Wylie, Ukek, Obhakhan

Subs: Ray, McElroy, Henderson, Traynor, Riley, Mullan, McDonagh.
