An under-par Cliftonville exited the Uefa Conference League at the second qualifying stage as FK Auda's 2-0 victory at Skonto Stadium meant the Latvian side advanced 4-1 on aggregate.
The deadlock in the second leg was broken in the 51st minute when Abiodun Ogunniyi, echoing his first-leg heroics from last week, glided past Luke Conlan before unleashing a low drive beyond David Odumosu's reach.
The Nigerian midfielder's strike all but ended the Reds' hopes of advancing, and 10 minutes later Abdulrahman Taiwo extinguished any remaining doubt about the outcome.
The in-form forward latched on to a long ball, outmuscled Shaun Leppard, and calmly slotted past Odumosu for his fifth goal in seven matches to give Auda a three-goal aggregate cushion.
Irish Cup winners Cliftonville, who had a bye into the second qualifying round, became the fourth Irish Premiership team to be knocked out of a European competition at the first hurdle this season, joining Linfield, Crusaders and Larne.
The latter will, however, get a second chance having dropped from the Champions League to the Conference League.
Auda dominance was evident from the outset, with the impressive Taiwo nearly providing an early breakthrough. The striker rounded Odumosu in the eighth minute, only to be thwarted by Michael Newberry's goalline clearance.
Taiwo continued to torment the Reds' defence, reminiscent of his impact in the first leg. His aerial prowess almost bore fruit six minutes before the interval, but his powerful header lacked the precision to trouble Odumosu.
The visitors' best chance came on the stroke of half-time when Ronan Doherty's corner found Leppard, whose towering header narrowly missed the far post.
The north Belfast side struggled to mount a serious challenge in the second half. Newberry and substitute Joe Gormley had half-chances, but failed to hit the target.
A frustrating afternoon was epitomised when Gormley looked set to salvage some pride for the visiting faithful in the 89th minute but failed to convert Jack Berry's cross from close range.
Zoran Zeljkovic's Auda now progress to face FC Drita in the third qualifying round.
For Cliftonville, defeat marks the end of their European journey, with all attention now turning to their league opener with Portadown at Solitude on 11 August.
