It's safe to say Napoli fans love Pedro.

The Lazio veteran's last-minute equaliser last week against Inter Milan kept Napoli's title hopes in their own hands.

Two of the heroes of Napoli's title challenge have been Scotland midfielders Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour.

McTominay has scored 11 goals, making him the joint top-scoring midfielder in Serie A this season.

He was named the league's player of the month in April.

And the fans adore him. Read more here.

    Serie A table

You see there is a chance we won't know the Serie A champions tonight.

If Napoli lose and Inter Milan get a draw, then they will play off for the Serie A title in a few days.

In 2022 Serie A changed its rules to say if teams competing for the title or to avoid relegation finish level on points, they will have a play-off to decide their fate - rather than going to goal difference or head to head.

Inter and Napoli would face each other in a one-off match on Monday, 26 May at either Inter's San Siro - because they have better goal difference - or else the neutral Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Also this is only the final day of the Serie A season for these four teams - with everyone else playing on Saturday and Sunday.

  5. Serie A title to be won tonight*published at 19:35 British Summer Time 23 May

Here we are then, the final game of the Serie A season* and the title is on the line.

Napoli just need to beat Cagliari to be sure of the Serie A title. But if they slip up and Inter Milan win at Como then the Nerazzurri will be crowned champions.

One thing for sure is we will know the Serie A champions in a couple of hours' time*.

    * neither of these things are quite true
