Highlights: Coleraine 1-2 Glentoran

Glentoran inflicted a first defeat of the season on Coleraine and extended their lead at the top of the table thanks to two second-half goals from Jordan Stewart.

Former Glentoran man Kodi Lyons-Foster headed the home side in front early in the first half but a second half brace from the impressive Stewart won the points for the visitors.

Coleraine broke the deadlock in the eighth minute through Kodi Lyons-Foster. Left unmarked at the back post he powered a close range header past the despairing dive of Andrew Mills from a Levi Ives corner.

Mills produced a string of fine saves thereafter, diving low to his left on two occasions to deny Matthew Shevlin and Will Patching before tipping over a well-struck Patching volley from the edge of the penalty area.

At the other end Aidan Harris did well to gather a Cammy Palmer shot from distance at the second attempt as Pat Hoban lurked while Liam Burt's effort went narrowly over the bar.

In added time at the end of the first half, the visitors came within the width of a post of levelling as Jordan Jenkins' shot with the outside of his right boot crashed off the woodwork.

The Glens did not have long to wait, however, as they equalised seven minutes after the restart when Jordan Stewart made the most of some hesitant Coleraine defending to volley high into the roof of the net from six yards.

And they went in front for the first time with 20 minutes remaining when Stewart again capitalised on defensive frailties to race through and beat Harris at his near post for his second of the night.

Andrew Mills denied second half sub' Declan McManus with an outstretched foot minutes from full-time while in the dying moments Ryan Cooney hacked substitute Zane Okoro's goal-bound effort off the line before Lyons-Foster failed to connect with the ball on the rebound.
