England fail to progress through to the semi-finals after late goal conceded

From what felt like a dream for England, turned into a nightmare late on in Albania. At 4-1 up and Italy winning against Belgium in the other group fixture, England's progression to the semi finals was secure. However, in the 89th minute, Czech scored meaning that England would exit the competition down to goal difference. Full time Czechia 2 - 4 England.
Sochůrek gets a second goal back for the Czechs! A goal of little importance to them means that, currently, England will not progress through to the semi-finals.

England look to be cruising to their first win in the group stage, after a dominant first half. Max Dowman fired first scoring a beautiful goal inside the first five minutes then Alejandro Rodriguez slid the ball in from close range for their second. Two quick goals from Howell and Gray at the tail of the first half looks to have settled the tie, after a horror mistake from the Czechia keeper which he won't want to watch back! At half time it stands Czechia 0 - 4 England.

England take a 2-0 lead through England's top scorer so far, Alejandro Rodriguez. A nice ball through the middle from Dowman was calmly slotted in past Paar.

Max Dowman of Arsenal breaks the deadlock here and just five minutes in! A brilliant run and piece of skill on the right wing, ended with a classy finish from a tight angle.

The Three Lions were drawn in Group B with Italy, Czechia and Belgium.
Italy's 4-2 win over England and 2-1 win over Czechia secured their semi-final spot and top the group.
England's 1-1 draw against Belgium last week means they must win against Czechia, and on Italy to beat the Belgians to advance.

England are in search of a third U17 European Championship title after getting their campaign under-way with a 1-1 draw against Belgium on Tuesday. There are two groups of four, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. England are in Group B and face holders Italy, Belgium and Czechia.
BBC Sport will be showing all of England’s matches, as well as the semi-finals and final of the tournament if England advance through to these stages.
