  1. Scotland fans head northpublished at 11:49 British Summer Time 15 June

It’s busy at Munich train station as hundreds of Scotland fans head north after a disappointing start for them last night.

They’re still in good spirits, and the talk about the next two games is replacing the debrief over last night's loss.

One fan has pitched up outside the station with his cap on the floor and pipes in hand and he’s gathered quite a crowd of locals.

It’s fair to say Munich has enjoyed the Scottish invasion over the past few days.

They’ll bring the party wherever they play.

  2. O'Donnell: 'I think we can bounce back'published at 11:44 British Summer Time 15 June

Scotland cap Stephen O'Donnell joined our colleagues on Good Morning Scotland earlier today.

He's familiar with Steve Clarke from his time in the national team and a brilliant spell at Kilmarnock.

Thankfully, he had a little bit of optimism ahead of the next two games.

“The biggest difference was, in the Czech Republic game, we were aware that this game, on paper, was maybe the easiest," he said.

“I’ve said before that there’s no easy game at the Euros, but for us to lose that first one, put a lot of pressure on the other two games.

“Germany was always going to be a very difficult night. The manner of it wasn’t very nice, but getting beat by Germany is nothing to be ashamed of. They are a top outfit, you seen the likes of [Jamal] Musiala and how he played.

“Okay, we’ve lost the game, there was always a chance of that. Let’s go into the two games that are more winnable. If we perform well, I think we’ll get a result and hopefully, we’ll do that.

“I’m still optimistic, we’ve got enough quality, the players have experienced it all before. I think we can bounce back from that result and hopefully get the four points that it would take to get out of the group.”

  3. Time for a positive...sort of, kind of, maybepublished at 11:36 British Summer Time 15 June

This one comes from Ally McCoist, who was named on the King's Birthday Honours list last night, so that's Ally McCoist OBE now.

Looking ahead to the next two games on ITV post-match, he said: "Scotland have to get balls into the box, get forward, and get players forward. There has to be a completely different approach in the mental approach to the game.

"From Scotland’s point of view, it should be slightly easier now as I don’t believe the other two teams will be at the same standard as Germany.

"They're good teams, but not as good as Germany."

  5. The aforementioned Allianzpublished at 11:27 British Summer Time 15 June

As Scott mentions, the Allianz was still showing Scotland some love after the final whistle.

On a scarf it's unacceptable but on a building, it seems pretty nice.

It's a grey day in Munich. The thick cloud probably reflecting back down on the mood of the Scots still gathered in their thousands in the city today.

As you left the Allianz Arena last night, the stadium was lit up half in a Germany flag, half Scotland. In truth it was as close to parity as we got all night.

There were a few "No Scotland No Party" chants in the hotel lobby, but it certainly doesn't feel like a party today.

  9. Toni Kroos appreciation postpublished at 11:02 British Summer Time 15 June

With all of the dugout laptops in football these days and no end to the stats we now track you sometimes feel a bit numb to player's numbers after a game. Toni Kroos last night, however, was near flawless.

102 attempted passes, 101 finding their target. 99% pass completion.

Eight attempted long balls, and eight accurate long balls.

36 passes into the final third.

Below is a passing matrix, of his side's starting XI, where a line is drawn between players when a threshold of four successful passes are played.

Number eight Kroos was the beating heart of his side.

Surely he's too good to be hanging up the boots after this summer?

German fans were huddled around TV screens in local bars throughout Stuttgart last night as they opened the Euros in style.

The Fan Zone at Schlossplatz was full of people wearing Germany shirts, wigs and black, red and yellow ribbons around their necks.

There was a sense of calm beforehand. Their expectations are not too high but they know how it works in tournaments and that anything can happen.

Today is slightly different. There is now as a sense of optimism.

"If we play like that all the way, we might do OK," says my hotel receptionist.

  12. Clarke's Scotland owe nation a performance - Nevinpublished at 10:46 British Summer Time 15 June

It's not about what's happened. It's about what's now going to happen.

Glancing sombrely back on Scotland's heavy defeat by Germany on Friday night, it was always a possibility something like that could befall us.

My thought before it was, if we were at our very best we might have got a draw - we weren’t. The Germans were a lot more up for it, confident. Toni Kroos was superb, their two wide players were exceptional.

They saw where our weaknesses were and they went at them. It’s really good technical management.

It’s a tough night for the players. And also a tough night for the head coach, Steve Clarke.

    Leanne Crichton
Former Scotland international on BBC Radio Scotland

You would like to think Scotland will have more of the ball in the Switzerland and Hungary games than they had tonight.

Gilmour is a ball player and he's got the vision.

For me, Billy Gilmour would be in the XI for the Switzerland game.

  16. Time for a winger?published at 10:29 British Summer Time 15 June

    Steven Thompson
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

I'd like to see us playing with a winger. We didn't offer any threat tonight, we need to offer more in the next game.

Tonight we set up to defend, I'd like to see a change in formation for the next game.

  17. 'Scotland blown away'published at 10:24 British Summer Time 15 June

    Chris Sutton
Former Celtic striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Credit to Germany for their performance. They smothered Scotland.

Germany were under pressure coming into this tournament but they blew Scotland away in the first half.

They took the foot off the gas in the second half and I think that helped Scotland.

It could have been a far wider margin than 5-1 in the end.

  20. The captain's reactionpublished at 10:08 British Summer Time 15 June

Scotland captain Andy Robertson, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "First half we got it all wrong really. We didn't really show up and their game-plan worked a million times better than ours did.

"Second half down to 10, I thought we dug-in really well. We're well-backed here, we've got so many supporters and yet today was hugely disappointing.

"We have to bounce back quickly because there were a lot of things that were wrong and we have to sort it before Wednesday."
