Brentford have won just one of their last 10 games across all competitions and are looking to break their disappointing run of form against Gary O'Neil's Wolves on Saturday.

"I like to win football matches, I'm very aware that the stats on paper are not great," said Brentford boss Thomas Frank on Thursday.

"We look into our performances and especially the last three have been very positive. We beat Nottingham [Forest] and lost to two of the best teams in the world; Tottenham and Manchester. We did a lot of things right and we need to look into that but we also need to look into what we can do better.

"Defending has been a big focus since I took over five years ago and we were a free floating Championship side.

"We are conceding too many goals in my opinion. We need to look into what we can do to avoiding conceding goals. We are going in the right direction."

"It is a setback of course," said Ten Hag.

"Licha was returning and you see his contribution to the team when he is playing, apart from the technical skills also the mentality.

"It is a big setback for Licha, he is very disappointed but he is a fighter.

"He will be back, stronger back and will play by the end of the season.

"As a a squad we have to replace him and we have players who can play there and will play there."

Will Chris Wilder and Sheffield United be thrown a giant rope in the hopes of hauling themselves out of the relegation snake pit?

The Blades are sitting rock bottom of the table with 10 points and no league wins since a 1-0 victory against Brentford on 9 December.

"People do look at the table, we’ve tried not to, we've tried to focus on the next game, which is on Saturday against an in-form team that are doing fabulously well," said Wilder.

"So the narrative will be how well they are doing as a promoted side and how poor we are. We understand that and we've got to accept it."

Blue Cards are not the answer. A cynical or tactical foul should be given a yellow. Remove the opportunity for dissent by only allowing discussion with the ref through the Captain unless the ref speaks directly to a player. Any swearing at the ref is an automatic red. Let players take the consequences of their actions.

Roy Hodgson and Mauricio Pochettino are preparing their sides for a Monday night fixture but one player who won't feature for the home side is Michael Olise.

Hodgson confirmed on Thursday winger Olise has suffered a "serious" hamstring injury that will be "devastating" for all involved.

The Palace boss has been criticised by fans after Olise was sent on at half-time in the 4-1 defeat by Brighton on Saturday, only to limp off after 56 minutes.

Palace were 3-0 down when the 22-year-old was introduced and he had also been forced off during their previous game.

"So many things went wrong that could have gone right," said Hodgson. "But we don't have hindsight and that's the problem.

"It's devastating for him, for the club, for everybody really,

"I don't think he was carrying an injury, I think it was more fatigue.

"It's not easy when you've got a player like Olise on the bench to turn around and say 'just sit there'."

How is Vincent Kompany's side shaping up for the game against league leaders Liverpool?

Burnley could welcome back defenders Hannes Delcroix and Charlie Taylor.

Jordan Beyer is likely to remain sidelined by a thigh issue and wingers Nathan Redmond and Luca Koleosho are long-term absentees.

Burnley came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Fulham at Turf Moor last weekend, but can Kompany lead his side to a rare victory on Merseyside and boost their hopes of Premier League survival?

"It's football, things happen in the game," said Kompany.

"You go to Anfield, you’ve got to do everything right. You’ve got to have a few things going your way as well.

"The biggest thing we can control is what we have to do on the day and that’s how we prepare for the game."
