Tyrhys Dolan's goal from close range is all that separates the sides, but it's fair to say it's been a comfortable half for the hosts.

Emil Riis almost levels things up for Preston after he gets on the end of a clever ball from Stefan Thordarson.
He does well to control and beat his marker but his finish is scuffed and fails to test Sheffield United goalkeeper Adam Davies.

Derby still haven't got a foothold in this game and it's been a chastening half an hour on their return to the Championship.
Blackburn are stringing passes around with ease and the home fans are in fine voice.

Stefan Thordarson, who is on his Preston debut, wins possession in a dangerous area for the hosts as Sheffield United are forced to organise their defence for the first time in this game.
But he tries his luck from 30 yards out and blasts an effort high and wide.

Preston concede a corner as Andre Brooks whips in a difficult ball which the hosts are forced to clear.
Sheffield United deliver the corner into the box and Lilywhites keeper Freddie Woodman manages to get a hand onto it, eventually leading to a Preston attack at the other end.
Can the hosts find a response to Oliver Arblaster's goal before half-time?

This just about sums up Derby's half so far.
The win a corner soon after Tyrhys Dolan's opener for Blackburn but it's punted over a crowded box to Kane Wilson who can only head away for a goal kick.

Derby are a mess at the back and it comes following a cracking move from Lewis Travis in the build-up.
His good work on the edge of the Derby box eventually sees Makhtar Gueye fire across goal and the Rams labour to defend, leading to them failing to pick up Tyrhys Dolan who duly thumps home from close range.

What of Derby County, the other newcomers to the Championship this term?
Well they win a free-kick just past halfway and send it into the Blackburn box but it's well dealt with by the hosts who pressure them into diverting the ball away for a goal kick.

The first 10 minutes has been all Mansfield at Oakwell and they're unfortunate not to be ahead, Keanu Baccus curling one beautifully into the far corner.
But Deji Oshilaja's attempt to get the final touch from an offside position means the goal is chalked off.

This is a dismal goal for Preston concede and they won't want to see this again.
Andre Brooks picks up the ball for the Blades on the edge of the box and is given the time and space to it through to Oliver Arblaster who fires a timid shot which picks up a big deflection and bounces past Preston keeper Freddie Woodman.

Sheffield United are playing in a navy and fluorescent green change strip, for what it's worth.
As yet they are yet to test Preston as they aim for a winning start to their return to the Championship.
