    Preston are throwing everything at Sheffield United before the break.

    Stefan Thordarson plays a clever one-two with Emil Riis but the former's effort on goal soon after is blocked and the visitors eventually clear their lines.

    Emil Riis almost levels things up for Preston after he gets on the end of a clever ball from Stefan Thordarson.

    He does well to control and beat his marker but his finish is scuffed and fails to test Sheffield United goalkeeper Adam Davies.

    Blackburn are stringing passes around with ease and the home fans are in fine voice.

    Stefan Thordarson, who is on his Preston debut, wins possession in a dangerous area for the hosts as Sheffield United are forced to organise their defence for the first time in this game.

    But he tries his luck from 30 yards out and blasts an effort high and wide.

    Preston concede a corner as Andre Brooks whips in a difficult ball which the hosts are forced to clear.

    Sheffield United deliver the corner into the box and Lilywhites keeper Freddie Woodman manages to get a hand onto it, eventually leading to a Preston attack at the other end.

    Derby are a mess at the back and it comes following a cracking move from Lewis Travis in the build-up.

    His good work on the edge of the Derby box eventually sees Makhtar Gueye fire across goal and the Rams labour to defend, leading to them failing to pick up Tyrhys Dolan who duly thumps home from close range.

    Well they win a free-kick just past halfway and send it into the Blackburn box but it's well dealt with by the hosts who pressure them into diverting the ball away for a goal kick.
