New Huddersfield signing Alfie May scored from the spot on his debut for the club
Lee Grant got off to a winning start as Huddersfield manager with a 3-0 victory over play-off finalists Leyton Orient.
Both sides hit a post in the first five minutes, with Aaron Connolly doing so for Orient before Ben Wiles was denied at the other end moments later.
Huddersfield new boy Joe Low made no mistake with a free header from Herbie Kane's free-kick after seven minutes, however, nodding his side in front on his debut.
Another new arrival, Alfie May, had a chance cleared off the line from a corner, but the rest of the first half was virtually all Orient, although the visitors struggled to create anything in the way of clear-cut chances.
A reinvigorated Huddersfield doubled their lead soon after the break after Sean Clare brought down Wiles just inside the box, with May's penalty sending Tommy Simkin the wrong way.
Ruben Roosken finished the game off in added time, smashing home from a narrow angle after being picked out by fellow substitute Joe Taylor.
