Greenock Morton defeated Hamilton Academical to reach the quarter-finals of the SPFL Trust Trophy thanks to a first-half penalty by Filip Stuparevic at New Douglas Park.
The home side opened brightly but once Serbian striker Stuparevic put the visitors ahead on 17 minutes, Morton looked comfortable.
Reghan Tumilty got on the wrong side of Michael Garrity and was penalised for bundling into the back of the midfielder in the six-yard box.
Stuparevic made no mistake with the spot-kick, rolling it into the right-hand corner with his left foot.
Dougie Imrie's side then controlled much of the rest of the game and were rarely troubled by John Rankin's team, with the home fans audibly frustrated by the end.
Euan Henderson went closest to an equaliser with a fine strike from just inside the box but Gary Woods tipped his effort round the post as Imrie - twice a player at Hamilton - guided his side into the last eight.
