Goals from Sonny Perkins, Charlie Kelman and Tom James earned Leyton Orient a comfortable League One victory over Blackpool.
Perkins, on a season-long loan from Leeds United, marked his first league start for the O’s with the opening goal after 34 minutes when Dan Agyei whipped in a cross for him to side foot home from close range.
The Seasiders applied early pressure immediately after the break. Kyle Joseph squandered an opportunity to equalise when he sent his header wide of the target from inside the box.
Then he was unlucky to see his powerful shot crash against the woodwork and rebound to safety just before the hour mark.
The home side’s response was defining with two goals in a five-minutes spell to put the issue beyond doubt.
Substitute Kelman had only been on the pitch for 5 minutes when he raced onto an Agyei cross to net and then James arrived at the back post to apply the vital touch for the third goal.
