That is all from us on a good day for Linfield, who move 15 points clear at the top of the table as Joel Cooper's hat-trick helped them to a 3-1 win against Portadown.

Cliftonville and Crusaders got back to winning ways with victories over Loughgall and Coleraine respectively.

Carrick Rangers and Ballymena United played out a drab 0-0 draw.

The game at the Oval between Glentoran and Larne was abandoned early in the second half with the score at 0-0 following floodlight failure.

  2. 'Great day for Linfield'published at 17:02 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    FT: Portadown 1-3 Linfield

    Colin Coates
Glenavon first team coach on Sportsound

Great day for Linfield, that was a tricky game on a difficult pitch, but Joel Cooper's hat-trick has them ahead, a bit of a storm came from Portadown but Linfield used their experience and saw the game out. To go 15 points clear even with games played and games not played is a huge lead and you would be very surprised if they don't go on and win the Gibson Cup.

All over at the Showgrounds where Crusaders leave with the points after a 2-0 win.

Jacob Blaney headed the visitors in front just after the half hour before second half sub' Harry Jewitt-White secured the win deep into added time.

The home side created a number of chances over the 90 minutes, hitting the woodwork twice, but were unable to find a way through an organised Crusaders backline.

    FT: Portadown 1-3 Linfield

    Liam Beckett

I can't see anyone stopping Linfield on their way to the title. In Cooper they have a match-winner and then they saw out the game. A comfortable win for Linfield.
