A few smiles on the PSG players as the Champions League music blares out.

Perhaps they're trying to show their hosts that they remain cool and composed even in this red-hot atmosphere.

Here we go then. The players are filing out of the tunnel into a yellow and black nest more frenzied than one filled with a swarm of angry wasps.

Paris St-Germain are "built to win the Champions League", according to Dortmund boss Edin Terzic.

PSG have long targeted winning the Champions League as a symbolic triumph of their transformation under Qatari ownership and have reached the knockout stages for a 12th successive season.

However, winning the trophy has continued to elude them.

The nearest the Parisians have come to achieving their ultimate goal was four seasons ago when they lost to Bayern Munich in the 2020 final.

"The project in Paris began with the goal of winning the Champions League," said Terzic.

"That's been their main objective for a decade.

"Maybe we're the team with less experience, but we may have the greatest hunger."

Sure you know by now but, if not, a little reminder of the prize at stake.

A date at Wembley on 1 June.

The road to London started wayyyy back in June at the qualifying stage.

Now we're down to four.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, who played out a 2-2 draw in Germany last night.

Even Luis Enrique says so.

"I think it could be a wonderful spectacle, not just for the two fan bases, but for everybody who loves football," reckons the PSG boss.

"I think there will be goals, given the quality and the ability to reach the opposition goal on both teams."

Dortmund's sporting director Sebastian Kehl, speaking to TNT Sports: "Everyone is looking forward [to the game]. It's a great stadium with a great atmosphere.

"To be in the last four teams is a big achievement, we want to use these two matches to get to Wembley.

"The team is full of energy and I am pretty optimistic."

While no English clubs are left in the Champions League, there has still been interest for Three Lions fans in the shape of their stars.

Last night they had the chance to see how Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham - two of the men who they are pinning their hopes of Euro 2024 glory on - fared.
