Ballymena have been totally out-thought and outplayed un this half.
That was a brilliant strike by Shevlin and is no more than Coleraine deserve going into half-time.

Kealan Dillon threads a clever ball through to Danny Wallace, who cuts inside and curls one goalward, but it’s too close to the centre of the goal.
Andy Mills sees it all the way and gathers comfortably.
Glenavon 0-1 Bangor
Michael O'Connor is the first man in the book this afternoon following a collision with Harry Lynch which results in the defender needing treatment.
Matthew Shevlin (42 mins)
The visitors double their lead - deservedly so - as Matthew Shevlin takes the ball in to his feet.
As he turns towards goal, he is helped slightly by Ballymena defender Kym Nelson losing his footing and Shevlin takes full advantage to arrow a low shot beyond Sean O'Neill.

Things have settled down here at Taylors Avenue after a frenetic 10 minutes or so.

The longer this game goes on without Coleraine getting that second goal the happier Jim Ervin will be. Coleraine have dominated this game so far and Ballymena are doing well to stay in the match.
Glenavon 0-0 Bangor
Jay Boyd goes close with an effort from a narrow angle, the ball clips off the inside of the post and Glenavon clear.
Carrick Rangers 0-0 Portadown
My goodness, Portadown should now be in front.
First, Ryan Mayse strikes a low drive from 12 yards that forces Nathan Gartside into a tremendous save.
Then, seconds later, Jimmy Callacher swings and misses close to his own goal as the ball trickles past Gartside and along the goal line before being cleared.
Moments later, Rayhaan Tulloch is played clean through for the Ports but his fizzing shot goes just wide of the far post. Hectic stuff here in Carrickfergus.
Dungannon Swifts 0-1 Glentoran
Sean McAllister breaks clear after Bobby-Jack McAleese blocks Marcus Kane’s attempted clearance, driving a fierce shot toward the near post that Andy Mills does brilliantly to turn behind.
It’s a fine save from Mills and is warmly applauded around Stangmore Park.
Ballymena United 0-1 Coleraine
A lightning-quick Coleraine attack sees the ball drop to Joel Cooper on the edge of the Ballymena penalty area.
He sizes up the opportunity but drags his effort narrowly wide of the target.
