Blackpool are in the play-offs as it stands.

Ping pong in the Reading box and Karamoko Dembele slots a neat finish into the left corner.

    What a start for Bolton!

Bolton need to win big and hope for a Derby slip and they have the opener.

Kyle Dempsey's header has too much power for Peterborough goalkeeper.

  4. Cheltenham fans in fancy dresspublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 27 April

    Stevenage 0-0 Cheltenham

    Peter Matthews
BBC Radio Gloucestershire's Cheltenham Town commentator

Who would have thought that after their dismal start to the season, that we would be here with Cheltenham having a genuine chance of League One survival?

I know results have got to go their way, but the Robins will focus on their own game here, backed by 1,200 travelling fans, many of whom are in fancy dress.

It's going to be quite an atmosphere.

  5. Derby should 'go about job as usual'published at 12:34 British Summer Time 27 April

    Derby 0-0 Carlisle

    Eric Steele
Former Derby and Man Utd goalkeeper on BBC Radio Derby

The first 10 to 15 minutes will be vital in how Derby approach the game.

It is very much business as usual.

Win your individual battles, go about the job as you would have done for the last 45 games, today shouldn't be any different.

I think the biggest message will be to go out and entertain those fans.

  6. CLOSE!published at 12:34 British Summer Time 27 April

    Stevenage 0-0 Cheltenham

Cheltenham need to win, simple as that, and they nearly had a perfect start, Tom Bradbury has headed over from an early Liam Sercombe corner.

  7. Postpublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 27 April

    Derby 0-0 Carlisle

An early goal would really settle the Rams and start the party.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing does his best to get the ball rolling and drills a shot just wide of the post.

  8. 'Burton in precarious position'published at 12:33 British Summer Time 27 April

    Fleetwood 0-0 Burton Albion

    Aaron Webster
Former Burton Albion defender for BBC Radio Derby

Burton Albion did look comfortable months ago.

Even the victory at Stevenage recently, it just gives you that light at the end of the tunnel.

It is what it is. They have got themselves into this precarious position.

One thing that does bode for them is that they only have to look after themselves today and then they will be fine.

266 days later, it has all come down to this... the League One season enters its final 90 minutes.

  10. High expectations at Pride Parkpublished at 12:29 British Summer Time 27 April

    Derby v Carlisle (12.:30 BST)

    Andrew Aloia
    BBC Sport at Pride Park

Derby fans have been crowded outside of Pride Park for hours already.

There is an almost serene level of expectation among the throngs of supporters who were greeting Paul Warne side as they headed into the ground.

Players signed autographs, shook hands and paused briefly for pictures..

Apart form the sheer volume of people clambering for a sight of the players, you could be fooled into thinking this was any other game.

But as kick-off has approached, serenity has made way for the more typical nervous tension an occasion like this stirs.

A point is all Derby need, but can the Rams get a bit of a party started with a performance that takes any hint of angst out of the air?

  11. Simple equation for Brewers in relegation scrappublished at 12:29 British Summer Time 27 April

    Fleetwood v Burton (12:30 BST)

The equation is pretty simple for Burton as they travel to Fleetwood today – just win.

Three points would be enough to condemn Cheltenham to League Two and the omens look pretty good for the Brewers.

A draw, however, would leave the door ajar for the Robins to fly to safety with victory at Stevenage, though Cambridge could also be dragged into the mix if they lose heavily at Port Vale.

Burton have won four and drawn one of their six meetings with Town, and won on their two most recent visits there.

Fleetwood have won only twice in their last nine league games while their 20 points won at home is second-worst in the division.

These stats might cheer up weary Albion travelling fans who have seen their side win just three of their last 15 games on the road, failing to score in seven of them.

  12. Robins aiming to complete miraculous escapepublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 27 April

    Stevenage v Cheltenham (12:30 BST)

Given Cheltenham began the season with two points from their first dozen games, it’s pretty impressive that Darrell Clarke’s side are even in with a chance of survival on the last day of the season.

Tuesday’s precious win over a much-changed Peterborough side kept their hopes alive, though they still need to win at Stevenage today and hope Burton and/or Cambridge slip-up.

Stevenage have won nine of their last 13 league games against the Robins but have faltered of late, winning just once in their last 11 in League One and Town did win there on their last visit in April 2021.

Cheltenham had won one of 11 themselves and looked doomed, but have since picked up six points from their last three matches to keep themselves in with a chance this afternoon.

  13. Reds aiming to start new era on a highpublished at 12:27 British Summer Time 27 April

    Barnsley v Northampton (12:30 BST)

Not many teams sack their manager ahead of their final game, with a play-off place up for grabs, but Barnsley did just that this week.

Neill Collins went on Monday with Martin Devaney in caretaker charge this afternoon and though Barnsley might be limping towards the finish line, they can not only secure a play-off spot at Oakwell this afternoon, they can make history too.

The Tykes have taken just a single point from their last five games and if they don’t win today it will be their longest run without a victory in two years.

Barnsley did win 2-1 at Sixfields in September, meaning a win today would complete their first ever league double over the Cobblers.

Town won’t make it easy, however, they have only lost once on the final day in their last 13 seasons and in the seven of those which came on the road, they won five and drew the other two.

  14. Imps seeking to take care of business against Championspublished at 12:26 British Summer Time 27 April

    Lincoln v Portsmouth (12:30 BST)

With four teams vying for two play-off places, taking care of your own business is paramount on days like these.

It’s tough to know whether hosting the champions, who have potentially been celebrating for the past 10 days, on the final day will be a help or a hindrance for Lincoln.

The Imps are in with a win, but they have only won one of their last 13 meetings with Pompey, and that was at Fratton Park. Their last home win came in March 1980.

City have made their home a fortness this season with 12 wins and six draws in their last 19 league games, though their one loss did come against Wigan last time out infront of their own fans.

Pompey might be the best travellers in the division but they have only picked up 11 points from their last 12 games on the final day of the season, which might give City fans some hope.

They might not wish to know there is actually a scenario where Lincoln win but don't make the play-offs, though that would involve Barnsley beating Northampton and Oxford winning by at least six goals, and potentially more, at Exeter.

  15. Can we have our play-off place back, please?published at 12:26 British Summer Time 27 April

    Exeter v Oxford (12:30 BST)

Oxford United fansImage source, Kieran McManus/Shutterstoc

Oxford have occupied a play-off place for months - right up until last Saturday, in fact, when they were finally reeled in by League One's form horses Lincoln.

The U's are seventh, but level on points with the Imps, and just a point behind fifth-placed Barnsley.

An Oxford win at 12th-placed Exeter, combined with dropped points from the Tykes or Imps, would propel them into the play-offs.

A draw would also be enough if Barnsley lose at home to Northampton, and Blackpool fail to win at Reading. Got that?

The good news for Oxford fans is that they are unbeaten in their last six away games at Exeter City, winning three.

The bad news is United have won just one of their last five games on the final day of the league season, while Extere are in good form and unbeaten in nine games.

  16. Blackpool play-off hopes rest on the deeds of otherspublished at 12:25 British Summer Time 27 April

    Reading v Blackpool (12:30 BST)

Blackpool are still in with a shout of an immediate return to the Championship, but will need help from others this afternoon.

The Seasiders start the day in eighth, the lowest position of the four contenders chasing the final two play-off spots.

They are just two points behind fifth-placed Barnsley, but will need to better the results of two of Barnsley, Lincoln and Oxford to make the end-of-season shootout.

They head to a Reading side who have finished a difficult campaign strongly under Ruben Selles.

They sit six points clear of the relegation places in 17th despite having six points deducted by the EFL and have lost just two of their last 12 home league games.

Blackpool's record in Berkshire isn't exactly rosy - they've won just one of their last 17 league matches at Reading, but did thrash the Royals 4-1 in the reverse fixture at Bloomfield Road earlier this season.

  17. What's on the line in League Onepublished at 12:24 British Summer Time 27 April

All games kick-off at 12:30 GMT

Well, there are a few things which have already been decided in the 266 days since the season began.

Portsmouth have already been confirmed as champions while Carlisle, Port Vale and Fleetwood will be playing League Two football next season.

Derby can join Pompey in the Championship if they avoid defeat at home to rock-bottom Carlisle OR if third-placed Bolton fail to beat fourth-placed Peterborough with a four-goal swing to Wanderers.

Both Bolton and Peterborough are assured of a play-off place, but two other spots are being contested by four teams.

Barnsley will be in if they win at home to Northampton.

Lincoln will make it should they beat Portsmouth, unless Oxford can create a five-goal swing and pick up a huge win at Exeter.

Oxford know they will make the top-six and the play-offs if they win their game and either of Barnsley and Lincoln fail to win.

Blackpool start the day as outsiders but they can secure a play-off semi-final if they win at Reading and two of Barnsley, Lincoln and Oxford fail to win.

At the bottom, Cheltenham are down unless they win at Stevenage. They could go down even with a victory if Burton win at Fleetwood and Cambridge avoid defeat at Port Vale.

If Cheltenham pick up three points then Burton will be down if they fail to win, unless Cambridge lose by three goals.

If Cheltenham and Burton win then Cambridge are down unless they avoid defeat.

Still with us? Great. Let's crack on...

While Pompey are up as Champions and Derby will be joining them in the Championship barring something truly extraordinary, four into two definitely does not go in the play-off race.

Will Barnsley cling on in the top six, having spent the majority of the season in it, can Lincoln complete a stunning rise from 12th at the start of February to secure a play-off spot, or will there be drama for Oxford or Blackpool which catapults them into the end of season shake-up?
