GOAL: Mansfield 1-0 Plymouthpublished at 19:51 GMT 28 October

    Will Evans (6 mins)

Will Evans strikes again for Mansfield!

Plymouth have a shocker at the back, Brendan Wiredu and Brendan Galloway crossing wires as the pair face the task of dealing with a seemingly benign bouncing ball inside the box.

Evans, who scored the opener in Town's 1-1 draw against Wigan on Saturday, nips in to sweep past the grounded Conor Hazard.

What a start for the Stags!

Former Lincoln City defender on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

I think it just came a little bit quick for Collins.

An early chance that almost silenced the crowd.

Exactly the start Michael Skubala would want, tactically it's really interesting.

    An early chance for Lincoln.

Adam Reach squares the ball across the box for James Collins but he skies it over Sam Walker's bar.

    That's a big early miss.

In contrast to Mansfield's consistency in selection, injury-hit Plymouth make six changes from their defeat at Exeter, bringing in defenders Mathias Ross and Kornel Szucs and widemen Bali Mumba and Owen Dale, the latter on loan from Oxford United.

Midfielder Caleb Roberts and forward Owen Oseni also start, with Matty Sorinola suspended for accumulated bookings and Alex Mitchell out for personal reasons.

Bradley Ibrahim failed a fitness test and Jamie Paterson, Bim Pepple and Brendan Wiredu move to the bench.

Argyle's injury absentees include Xavier Amaechi and Caleb Watts (hamstring), Julio Pleguezuelo (knee) and Jack MacKenzie (shin splints).

Their plans to involve Ayman Benarous more have been halted by a knee problem sustained while the midfielder performed a piece of control in training that boss Tom Cleverley said he would have "done tens of thousands of times".

He added: "Something clicked in there that has caused a little bit of ligament damage."

Plymouth starting XI: Hazard, Ross, Szucs, Edwards, Tolaj, Mumba, Oseni, Boateng, Galloway, Roberts, Dale.

Subs: Ashby-Hammond, Wiredu, Paterson, McCabe, Pepple, Finn, Campbell.

  7. In-form Mansfield unchangedpublished at 19:41 GMT 28 October

Nigel Clough sticks with the same starting side for a fifth straight match as Mansfield bid to extend their four-game unbeaten league run.

Town have scored in each of their past six and their chances of continuing that form could well depend on on-loan Birmingham City forward Tyler Roberts.

Former Wales international Roberts netted once in each of their previous three matches before their 1-1 draw at home to Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

Mansfield starting XI: Roberts, Knoyle, Oshilaja, Blake-Tracy, McLaughlin, McDonnell, Lewis, Moriah-Welsh, T. Roberts, Evans, Oates.

Subs: Mason, Sweeney, Bowery, Hendry, Dickov, Gardner, Dwyer.

  8. Tranmere make two changespublished at 19:39 GMT 28 October

    Accrington v Tranmere (19:45 GMT)

Sam Finley returns for Tranmere after missing their 1-1 draw at home to Chesterfield on Saturday with a quad injury.

Fellow midfielder Nohan Kenneh - a Liberia international - also comes in, with Richard Smallwood and Billy Blacker dropping to the bench.

Defender Lee O'Connor is on the bench after rejoining full training last Thursday, but midfielder Jason Lowe and forward Kristian Dennis remain out, while striker Joe Ironside misses a third consecutive match with a groin injury.

Connor Jennings has three goals and an assist in his past two matches, scoring twice in the 4-1 win at Bristol Rovers in their last away game on 18 October.

Tranmere starting XI: Murphy, Norman, Brough, Smith, Whitaker, Finley, Davison, Patrick, Jennings, McGowan, Kenneh.

Subs: Barrett, Smallwood, Joseph, Solomon, O'Connor, Blacker, Harris.

Forward Shaun Whalley returns from injury to make his first appearance of the season for Accrington.

The 38-year-old is one of two newcomers to Stanley's starting side alongside former Manchester United defender Donald Love.

Midfielder Isaac Sinclair is out but winger Tyler Walton is fit enough to be on the bench.

"Those two would be brilliant in any team in this league," assistant manager Ged Brannan said of Whalley and Walton, adding that Accrington "miss their quality" when the pair are not involved.

On-loan Chesterfield forward Paddy Madden scored a hat-trick and set up the other goal in Accrington’s 4-0 thrashing of Swindon Town in their last home game on 18 October.

Accrington starting XI: Wright, Love, Rawson, Coyle, Whalley, Madden, Henderson, Ward, Matthews, Conneely, Heath.

Subs: Kelly, Sass, Grant, Bauress, Caton, Brown, Walton.

  10. 'Massive' game for strugglerspublished at 19:36 GMT 28 October

    Accrington v Tranmere (19:45 GMT)

Alex Henderson's 11th-minute opener at Fleetwood put John Doolan's Accrington on course for consecutive league wins on Saturday, only for two goals after the 64th minute to consign Stanley to a 2-1 defeat - their fourth loss in five games in League Two, leaving them a point off the bottom.

"We set the team up and for an hour they were brilliant and won every battle," said assistant manager Ged Brannan, calling tonight's match against a Tranmere side three points above them "massive".

"We could have gone in two or three up and we should have had two penalties.

"Winning is everything in football. We need the three points and if we get them, it's a massive lift for the club and the fans."

Tranmere join Accrington in having a game in hand and have lost only one of their past five league matches, following up a 4-1 win at Bristol Rovers on 18 October with a 1-1 draw at home to Chesterfield on Saturday courtesy of Connor Jennings' 93rd-minute equaliser.

"It's an open league, but it's very tight," said new right-back Aaron McGowan.

"With a bit of momentum, you can climb right up the table really fast. Hopefully, we go to Accrington and give them a proper game.

"[This is] a massive game for this football club. Can we go unbeaten in three? Can we start climbing the table?"

It is all about moving away from the bottom of the table for Accrington and Tranmere this evening. Stanley are a place above the bottom two, but a win would put them on the same number of points as Rovers, who sit in 18th.

  12. Imps make three changespublished at 19:33 GMT 28 October

    Bradford v Lincoln (19:45 GMT)

Three changes for Lincoln to the side that lost at Leyton Orient.

Adam Reach returns to the starting line-up, there's a first league start for Justin Obikwu and James Collins gets the nod in attack.

Lincoln starting XI: Wickens, Darikwa, Reach, Bayliss, Collins, McGrandles, Bradley, Street, House, Obikwu, Hamer.

Subs: Pardington, Towler, Ring, Okoronkwo, Lembikisa, Varfolomeev, Draper.

Bradford boss Graham Alexander makes one change to his starting XI to the one that drew at Stevenage on Saturday.

Antoni Sarcevic comes in for Tyreik Wright, who drops to the bench.

Bradford starting XI: Walker, Touray, Wright, Byrne, Power, Neufville, Kavanagh, Sarcevic, Kelly, Metcalfe, Swan.

Subs: Hilton, Halliday, Cook, McIntyre, Wright, Leigh, Lapslie.

There is plenty at stake for all four teams in action tonight. A win for Bradford would take them top, while Lincoln can go second with a victory.

Plymouth have the opportunity to move out of the relegation zone if they take all three points on the road, but Mansfield are in the chasing pack for the play-off places and can edge closer to the top six with a victory.

  15. 'We want to keep this run going'published at 19:25 GMT 28 October

    Mansfield v Plymouth (19:45 GMT)

After taking eight points from a four-match unbeaten league run, Mansfield Town manager Nigel Clough says it is "very important" to maintain the momentum at home to third-bottom Plymouth Argyle tonight.

Along the way, the Stags spoiled Jack Wilshere's first game as a manager by winning 2-0 at Luton Town on 18 October, then held a half-time lead through a Will Evans goal before visitors Wigan Athletic earned a 1-1 draw at the One Call Stadium on Saturday.

"As much as we were trying to find the winner - and we really did - there's still an emphasis on trying to stay unbeaten and keeping this little run going," Clough said.

"We want to do that against Plymouth."

Argyle spurned a lead in a 2-1 defeat against AFC Wimbledon at home 10 days ago, and worse was to come with a 2-0 defeat at Exeter City in a Devon derby last Thursday, when new striker Lorent Tolaj's run of four goals in three matches came to an end.

In better news for the team making a round trip of more than 500 miles tonight, Plymouth have won each of their past five league games against Mansfield by an aggregate score of 13-2.

Manager Tom Cleverley is calling for togetherness from fans and players, with a win required to move out of the relegation zone against opponents he regards as "a real solid team".

"They'll compete and do the basics well," he said of Town. "But there will be a large focus on what we do and how we react to a poor week.”

  16. Take two for Bantams to top League Onepublished at 19:22 GMT 28 October

    Bradford v Lincoln (19:45 GMT)

Bradford City have another chance of topping League One this evening after failing to do so when they picked up a 1-1 draw at Stevenage on Saturday.

The Bantams, who sit in fourth and two points adrift of top sport, have impressed on their return to the third tier.

Graham Alexander's side are on a six-match unbeaten run, in which they have netted 12 times despite drawing their past three games.

Sixth-placed Lincoln City will be looking to pick up their winning form after suffering their second defeat in three games when they lost 1-0 at Leyton Orient last time out.

With just two points separating this evening's opponents, a win would move the Imps into second.

So, with a lot a stake for both of these teams, we could be in for some game at Valley Parade.
