It's a chilly evening here at Villa Park - where what stands out is the players unavailable for both sides.

Villa are without Pau Torres, Matty Cash and Tyrone Mings in defence through injury, with Axel Disasi cup-tied having joined on deadline day having played for Chelsea in the FA Cup third round. Ollie Watkins and Ross Barkley are also out.

They name just seven players on their bench, which includes just three senior outfield players, including potential debutants Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio.

Spurs are without a long list of players, including James Maddison, Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert, Micky van de Ven, Cristiano Romero, Richarlison, Dominic Solanke, Radu Dragusin and Destiny Udogie.

However, Spurs have still put out a full nine-player bench, including three academy stars.

Villa have also celebrated their five new winter window signings on a edited video package at Villa Park.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery says he faces a "huge challenge" to help revive Marcus Rashford's career, but is ready to "exploit" his potential.

The forward joined on loan for the rest of the season from Manchester United last Sunday, with a £40m option to buy and is among the substitutes tonight.

Rashford, who has not played since December, has been criticised by United manager Ruben Amorim, with the Portuguese saying he could not get him to see his way of thinking.

The 27-year-old, who has scored seven goals in 24 games for United this season, has trained well this week.

"My challenge with him is a huge challenge. His challenge with us is exciting," said Emery.

"I don't want to know the reason he is leaving from Manchester but I am very happy keeping him here and I am very happy to try to exploit and help him recover his performances, individually and collectively.

"The conversation I had with him was a very normal conversation with a player and coach, speaking about football. I only want the best football from him. He has huge potential to exploit."

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou says it is "really easy" for people to "stick their boots" into his team.

Spurs were knocked out of the EFL Cup as they lost 4-0 in the semi-final second leg at Liverpool on Thursday night. Postecoglou's side, who held a 1-0 lead going into the match at Anfield, failed to register a single shot on target in the return game.

Former Spurs captain Jamie Redknapp said on Sky Sports that he had never seen a team "go down with less of a fight".

"I get the pile on at the moment, it's really easy for people to stick their boots in and question the players, but I don't," said Postecoglou. "It's not about taking it on my shoulders. Thursday night doesn't direct me in what I do and think. We're an easy mark at the moment, obviously making a semi-final is an absolute disaster.

"We were disappointed it didn't go the way we wanted and we didn't perform at the levels - but that doesn't define this group of players in my eyes."

Spurs, 14th in the Premier League but in the last 16 of the Europa League, can point to a lengthy injury list.

Dominic Solanke, Brennan Johnson, James Maddison, Timo Werner, Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie and Micky van de Ven all missed Thursday's defeat at Anfield.

After defeat against Liverpool in the EFL Cup semi-final, Tottenham have just two remaining chances to win silverware this season.

But given their struggles in the Premier League, would a fourth-round FA Cup exit at Aston Villa pile more pressure on manager Ange Postecoglou?
