We've seen enough of Steve Clarke now to know what the game was going to be. We could feel it.
Hold, hold, hold. How long do you leave it? They did leave it. He's not known as a manager who takes chances, but he took some at the end.
The bare facts will say one point out of nine, we didn't score a goal, other teams scored for us.
Did Scotland deserve to win tonight? They didn't have many chances.
All the way through, I thought Scotland had to bring their 'A-game' to beat Switzerland and Hungary. Did they do that? No.
Now here's the skipper's reaction...
The stats, provided by Opta, make for pretty grim reading this morning:
Scott Mullen
BBC Scotland at Stuttgart Arena
Scotland crashed out of Euro 2024 in the most heart-wrenching fashion as Kevin Csoboth's 100th-minute winner earned Hungary a stunning late victory.
The Scots, who could still have held faint hopes of the last 16 with a draw, were stung on the counter-attack to spark bedlam in the Stuttgart Arena.
It means Steve Clarke's side, who did not register a shot on target, finish on one point and once again fail to make it out of a group at a major tournament.
Hungary finish Group A in third and still have a chance of going through as one of the four best third-placed teams.
Let's hear from the main man first.
Steve Clarke was pretty furious after the game. Here he is talking about that controversial penalty - or non-penalty - decision.
Good morning, everyone.
Steve Clarke said we should feel sad and boy, do I.
So, in a move that will be either deeply therapeutic or even more scarring, we'll be bringing you the reaction to the untimely end of Scotland's Euros journey.
Stick with us, we might even find some light in the gloom. No promises.
