    Middlesbrough 1-0 Swansea

It's over 300 miles from south west Wales to Teesside and the Jack Army headed north at four in the morning for this one.

They will certainly want more from their players in this half in terms of attacking effort to match their effort in getting to this game.

Brazilian forward Ronald is on in place of Azeem Abdulai.

  2. SECOND HALFpublished at 13:33 British Summer Time 10 August

Great goals, screamers, mistakes, penalties, the woodwork being struck - there was a lot going on in that opening 45 minutes.

As the second half begins, we're looking at the games at Stoke and Hull. We want goals!

  3. 'Stoke menacing, Coventry disappointing'published at 13:33 British Summer Time 10 August

    HT: Stoke 0-0 Coventry

    Ged Scott
BBC Sport at the bet365 Stadium

It’s so far been more to smile about here for the Stoke City fans in the overcast Potteries, as the Potters have looked more menacing than disappointing Coventry.

The Sky Blues have started wearing white shorts this season – and now, from a distance, resemble Man City. But not going forward they don’t. Nothing to report in that department.

Having said that, thanks to some solid, at times last-gasp Coventry defending, it somehow remains 0-0.

And, in fact, Stoke have only had one effort on target, as well as Junior Tchamadeu’s header against the woodwork.

Lesley Keech: Leeds' problem - and it's been a constant for three years now - is we do not take our chances and it costs us. We're playing well but losing. I think we can turn it around but I'm a little fed up of us having to.

Leeds hit the crossbar THREE times before opening the scoring today and have seen Pompey score with their only two shots on target.

  5. When might we see Langstaff?published at 13:27 British Summer Time 10 August

    HT: Millwall 0-1 Watford

    Chris Peddy
    BBC Sport at The Den

The first half of football at The Den is over and Millwall trail Watford by a truly bizarre goal.

The Lions had started the game well after a number of tributes to late goalkeeper Matija Sarkic, who tragically died in the summer at the age of 26.

But Watford grew into the game and started to stretch the play, particularly down the left through Jeremy Ngakia and Giorgi Chakvetadze.

Edo Kayembe's goal direct from a corner is what separates the sides, with the ball evading everyone as it floated into the corner.

But Millwall did apply the pressure late on - with George Honeyman hitting the post after a strong penalty shout after a challenge in the box on Duncan Watmore.

Tom Bradshaw has fought tirelessly up front, might we see new signing Macauley Langstaff introduced soon?

  6. 'Pompey goals were preventable'published at 13:24 British Summer Time 10 August

    HT: Leeds 1-2 Portsmouth

    Aidy White
Former Leeds United full-back on BBC Radio Leeds

Two Portsmouth goals that have come out of nowhere.

It's a terrific strike from Callum Lang for the second one but it should have been preventable.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:22 British Summer Time 10 August

    Leeds United 1-2 Portsmouth

Boos ring out around Elland Road after the first 45 minutes of the season.

It's some turn around from Portsmouth after Leeds dominated the opening stages of the game.

Pompey's return to the second tier going well so far.

  8. 'Coventry need to be better'published at 13:21 British Summer Time 10 August

    HT: Stoke 0-0 Coventry

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

No damage done in terms of goals but Coventry will be happy to get into half-time all square.

There's been a good intensity to the game but Coventry will have a lot of work to do in the second-half. When they've had the chances, they've tried to be too precise.

They need to be better in the second period if they want to get something from this game.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 10 August

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Swansea

Good football from Boro as we reach half-time with Isaiah Jones' effort deflected just over as they push for a second goal.

Emmanuel Latte Lath's penalty is the difference but this is comfortable so far. No shots for Swansea and if you don't shoot, you don't score.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 10 August

    Cardiff 0-1 Sunderland

Luke O'Nien's header separates the teams at the break.

But Cardiff have a good chance to level right on the whistle, but Ollie Tanner cannot keep his header between the posts and the chance goes begging.

Sunderland's new Frenchman Regis le Bris will be happy with this scoreline.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 10 August

    Millwall 0-1 Watford

The away side have the advantage at the break thanks to Edo Kayembe's goal straight from a corner.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 10 August

    Oxford United 1-0 Norwich City

A fantastic first half for Oxford United on their return to the second tier, they'll be happy with that performance so far.

Norwich supporters will want more in the second half, the home side have been on top.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 10 August

    QPR 1-1 West Brom

A tale of two headers in west London as Lucas Andersen's earlier one was cancelled out by one from Josh Maja.

This one could go either way in the second half.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 10 August

    Stoke 0-0 Coventry

    No goals at the break.

The home side have come closest to opening the scoring but Junior Tchamadeu saw his header come back off the post.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 10 August

    Hull City 0-0 Bristol City

Not a huge amount happening in this one so far but the home side have had the better of it.

  16. 'Pompey taking their opportunities'published at 13:14 British Summer Time 10 August

    Leeds 1-2 Portsmouth

    Guy Whittingham
Former Portsmouth manager on BBC Radio Solent

    What a great strike!

    Two opportunities, two goals.

When you are playing against a strong side, you've got to take advantage of the opportunities you get and Portsmouth have done that.

  17. goal

GOAL: Leeds United 1-2 Portsmouthpublished at 13:14 British Summer Time 10 August

    Callum Lang (41 mins)

Wow what a strike from Portsmouth's Callum Lang on the half-volley from 25 yards!

Marlon Pack's free kick is headed away by the Leeds defence before Lang picks up the ball, drives forward and strikes a powerful shot into the bottom corner.

What a turnaround this has been by John Mousinho's men.

  18. Postpublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 10 August

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Swansea

Goodness me, Middlesbrough get sloppy here.

They give the ball away in their own box and Seny Dieng is required to dive at the feet of Azeem Abdulai to avert any danger.

Swansea have still not had a shot on goal in this one.

  20. MILLWALL HIT THE WOODWORKpublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 10 August

    Millwall 0-1 Watford

    How have Millwall not scored?!

The home side break the Watford backline and the ball is squared for George Honeyman who fires a low shot off the foot of the post.

The ball bounces back to the midfielder and he sends a shot back at goal only to see Francisco Sierralta come up with a brilliant goalline clearance.
