But it took a 95th-minute winner to get the job done.

Barcelona were seconds away from becoming Spanish champions, before Jacobo Ramon's dramatic 95th-minute winner saves Real Madrid, for today at least.
Barca have a chance to clinch the title tomorrow, and will do so if they win at Espanyol in a derby match.

In the 95th-minute, Real Madrid may have snatched the win to halt Barcelona's title celebrations.
With Thibaut Courtois up for a corner, the ball is played into the box, Jesus Vallejo flicks it on, Mallorca defender Copete leaves the ball, thinking Leo Roman would come and collect, but Jacobo Ramon gets his foot there to volley the ball into the net for what is surely the winner.

Leo Roman is having the game of his life here. Yet another superb diving save, this time to keep out Federico Valverde's effort.
Roman is up to 10 saves.

Mallorca are hanging on to what could be a massive point for them. Arda Guler whistles a shot just wide of the post but it takes a deflection and Real get a corner.
Luka Modric, credited with the earlier assist for Kylian Mbappe's goal, takes the set-piece and it eventually drops to Guler a full 30 yards out. This is another superb hit, met by another moment of brilliance by a flying Leo Roman.

Dan Ndoye's second-half goal has won the Coppa Italia for them against AC Milan and ended their 51-year wait for a trophy.
What a night for Bologna.

Two glorious chances for Mallorca to instantly regain the lead. Mateu Morey only has Thibaut Courtois to beat, but the former Chelsea keeper sticks out a left arm and makes an excellent save. The rebound falls to Vedat Muriqi, but he gets the ball stuck under his feet and the opportunity vanishes.

Leo Roman is finally beaten. Kylian Mbappe, top scorer in La Liga, gets his 28th goal of the league campaign and this is a lovely goal, dancing through challenges from three Mallorca players and shooting low and hard into the corner.
Real have hope to keep the title race alive.

Only a second shot of the night from Mallorca but Sergi Darder's effort is miles wide. Thibaut Courtois has not had made a save, but had to pick the ball out of his net.

Jacobo Ramon was making only his second La Liga appearance
Jacobo Ramon's 95th-minute winner for Real Madrid against Mallorca forced Barcelona to wait another day at least for La Liga title glory.
Hansi Flick's side were seconds away from being confirmed as champions without playing, only for Madrid to score with practically the last kick of the game at the Bernabeu.
Barcelona will only need a point at rivals Espanyol on Thursday (20:30 BST) to wrap up the title.
Martin Valjent drilled a fine low effort to give visitors Mallorca the lead in the Spanish capital.
Hosts Real were dominant but missed a host of chances before Kylian Mbappe found the bottom corner with a well-hit strike.
They continued to miss chances before Ramon's close-range volley after some poor defending delivered the win.
Despite this comeback, the title is still highly likely to go to Barcelona, who are four points ahead at the top with a game in hand.
The league was as good as won thanks to Sunday's 4-3 Clasico win over Real, which was Barcelona's fourth victory over their rivals this season.
That includes wins in the finals of the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup.
Legendary boss Carlo Ancelotti is likely to end his final season at Real Madrid without a major trophy.
He takes over as Brazil manager once this La Liga season ends, with Xabi Alonso expected to replace him in time for June's Fifa Club World Cup.
Including minor trophies, Ancelotti is the most successful boss in Real's history, with 15 pieces of silverware, including three Champions League and two La Liga wins.
His last trophy came in December, with the win over Mexican side Pachuca in the Fifa Intercontinental Cup final in Qatar, a relatively minor triumph for a club who crave the biggest prizes in the game.
