I see Alex the Palace fan (12:08) is still feeling a bit bitter despite it not being our fault ! Most Forest fans want Palace to do well though

English teams won both these tournaments last year. Tottenham won the Europa and Chelsea won the Conference.

Both are in the Champions League this season so not involved today.

Crystal Palace were demoted from the Europa League to the Conference League because of Uefa's multi-ownership rules.

Nottingham Forest were promoted from the Conference to the Europa as a result.

And then Palace had to go through the qualifiers, beating Norwegians Fredrikstad 1-0 on aggregate.

As a Palace fan, it's going to sting seeing who we *could* have drawn in the Europa League, hopefully an early exit by Forest will numb the pain.

We will focus on who the British and Irish teams will play in Europe today.

Will let you know if any other dynamite fixtures come out but looking at the teams and pots I can't really imagine what they would be.

Apparently this thing should only take an hour so less waffle than you get for the Champions League draw.

Although they've brought Jurgen Klinsmann up for some chit chat.

Now I've got some shocking news for you. This is all for show.

Uefa has actually done these draws by one push of a button.

But it's just going to drip feed what the draws were one pot at a time.

Echoing what Jack (11:48) said - I also hope that Villa draw Rangers in the first section.

Can't say I agree with Jack (11:48). Villa need to step up and show they mean business, they haven't been able to turn up for big games lately. A statement win against a top team could be the impetus our season needs.

In the Europa League you face two teams from each pot, including your own.

In the Conference League, it's one team from each pot.

You cannot play a team from your country - and you cannot play more than two teams from any one country.

If you remember from last season it's not groups of four teams anymore.

Each competition is one monster 36-team league. In the Europa League teams are drawn to play eight other sides - and in the Conference League it's six games.

It's done by pots - and you will face someone in your own pot.

Hi BBC, I really hope that the Villa draw a smaller team in the first section of the competition because I think we really need to focus on the Premier League at the start of the season. Especially having not scored a goal in the Prem so far and having a man sent off in the first game against Newcastle. I just think we need a few easier fixtures in the Europa League so that we could focus on the Prem for now.
