New Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam has said he "wanted to take the opportunity" of a move to Goodison Park.
The 20-year-old England youth international has signed a three-year contract with the Blues.
"Everton is an amazing club, a big club, and I'm just really happy to join and I can't wait to get started," said Iroegbunam after his transfer from Aston Villa was confirmed.
"It was a move that I didn't want to pass by."
Everton manager Sean Dyche added: "He is a young player who is still learning and developing, but clearly has a lot of the qualities we want in that area of the pitch."

Everton are closing in on a deal to sign midfielder Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa for a reported £9m fee.
England Under-20 international Iroegbunam made 15 appearances in all competitions for Villa last season and spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Championship side QPR.
In a separate deal, Villa are in talks to sign winger Lewis Dobbin from Everton.
Dobbin, 21, came through Everton's academy and has made 15 Premier League appearances, scoring his first senior goal against Chelsea in December.
Everton also remain in talks to sign winger Jack Harrison on another season-long loan from Leeds.
Meanwhile, the Toffees have received a number of enquiries for midfielder Amadou Onana from Premier League and Champions League clubs.
The Belgium international would cost more than £50m and, although Arsenal held an initial conversation with Everton regarding the player's availability, they are unlikely to follow-up their interest at this stage.

Where will Everton be after 10 games?published at 11:58 19 June
11:58 19 June
The fixtures for the new Premier League season are out and we asked you for your predictions on where Everton will be after 10 games.
Here is a selection of your comments:
Steve: The fixture list looks like there are only three matches in the first 10 against top-six teams, three against newly promoted sides and the rest against mid-table contenders. This will be the defining time for the season. Hopefully 18-20 points from the first 10 games would be a great start and really define the season.
John: Tough first 10 games - I'll be happy with 12 points.
Adrian: 10 games. 18 points. Mid-table. Still needing goals!
Adam: With the fixtures looking a little kinder this time around, I see Everton having about 21 points after 10 games. I also think they will finish the season on about 59 points.
Russell: A lot depends on who stays and goes, and who the new owners are. But judging by our last 10 games, I'd say we should be mid-table after game 10. There's a decent mix of top, bottom and new teams to take on. I believe most teams know they will have to really earn any points they get from us. I would settle for drama-free mediocrity this season.

Everton v Brighton - did you know?published at 15:14 18 June
15:14 18 June
Everton will get their 2024-25 season underway at home to Brighton on Saturday, 17 August.
The Toffees will be hoping to turn the tide of recent fixtures hosting the Seagulls. Having won their first four home Premier League games against Brighton, they are winless in their past three against them at Goodison Park (D1 L2).
The team scoring first has never lost a Premier League meeting between Everton and Brighton (W10 D3), but with Sean Dyche's side going 1-0 up in both games last season only for them to both end 1-1, they will be hoping for more this time.
How will Everton's first 10 games go?published at 11:57 18 June
11:57 18 June
Now the fixtures for the new Premier League season are out, it is time to start looking ahead to your club's 2024-25 campaign and all the key matches.
So, where do you think the Toffees will be after the first 10 games?
But they will not end the campaign at Goodison, with reports, external that the club submitted a formal request to the Premier League to instead schedule its final home game on the penultimate weekend of the season.
The club wanted to make sure that its formal farewell to the stadium they have called home since 1892 did not get lost in the potential storylines - title race, relegation and European qualification - of the final day.
That means their last ever game at Goodison will be against promoted Southampton on Sunday, 18 May.
The only potential drawback to that plan is the fact it is the day after the FA Cup final, which is scheduled for Saturday, 17 May. Should Everton reach the final, the Premier League will have to reschedule the Southampton match.
Another key date in the Toffees' final season at Goodison is the stadium's final Merseyside derby in the league against Liverpool, which is scheduled for Saturday, 7 December.

What should you look out for?
By chief football news reporter Simon Stone
Matches around European games
This will be even more keenly assessed than usual given the four clubs in the Champions League and two in the Europa League will have eight first-phase games rather than six. Long trips before or after European games do not go down well with managers.
Matches around internationals
There are international breaks in September, October, November and March. In Europe, the first three of those are for Nations League fixtures. World Cup qualifiers in Europe start in March 2025, though in South America and Asia they are being played in all four windows.
England managers tend not to be keen on blockbuster league matches immediately before a break and club bosses are equally unhappy at having to play key matches after them when so many players get back on Thursday or Friday.
Festive fixtures
To allow for a mid-August start, there will not be a winter break this season. The Premier League has assured clubs they will not be asked to play twice in less than 60 hours at any point over Christmas and New Year. That rules out any club playing on 26 December also having a game on 28 December. There will be no Christmas Eve fixture in the 2024-25 season.
As the FA Cup third round has been moved from its traditional home on the first weekend of January to the second, it does seem there will be four rounds of fixtures over the festive period - starting on 21 December and ending on 5 January.
New managers
Four Premier League clubs already have new managers - Fabian Hurzeler (Brighton), Enzo Maresca (Chelsea), Arne Slot (Liverpool) and Julen Lopetegui (West Ham) - with a fifth to come at Leicester. So that's a new era beginning at 25% of clubs before a ball has been kicked. Russell Martin will take charge of a top-flight game for the first time after Southampton's promotion.
'No change in the ownership situation'published at 14:52 17 June
14:52 17 June
Giulia Bould BBC Radio Merseyside reporter
As ever with Everton there is a constant swirl of headlines and social media rumours, but right now there is no change in the ownership situation.
I understand Dan Friedkin remains in pole position to buy Farhad Moshiri's majority share in the Toffees, but there is still a way to go before the deal is done.
Even if the Roma owner gets an exclusivity deal put in place to begin the purchase of Moshiri's 94% stake, there will also have to be the Premier League owners and directors test, plus regulatory approvals.
However, it is fair to say the process should not take as long as the, now failed, takeover by 777 Partners.
The Miami-based investment group first announced their plans to buy Everton in September 2023 and missed the final deadline to agree the deal on 1 June.
'His smile made you smile' - Stubbs pays tribute to Campbellpublished at 13:52 17 June
13:52 17 June
Ex-Everton centre-back Alan Stubbs has paid tribute to his former team-mate Kevin Campbell, who he played alongside from 2001 to 2005.
Campbell died aged 54 on Saturday after a short illness.
"He was a really important guy in the dressing room because of his personality and his influence on the team," Stubbs told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"When Kev spoke he was one of those players where the other players would automatically listen to out of respect to him and the regard they held him in
"His smile made you smile when you saw him, it was that infectious. It really is terrible news. I don't think anyone would have expected hearing this news.
"What he did when he came to Everton from Turkey was he lifted the club. At that time the club was not in a good place. He came with a breath of enthusiasm, warmth, great personality and he didn't just lift the players on the pitch, he lifted the fans as well with his performances.
"His record speaks for itself. On the pitch he certainly delivered, but it was his connection with the fans off the pitch - he got Everton, he got what the club is all about. He was just a real all-round top bloke.
"Even after football when you saw him doing his media stuff, it was the same embrace, the same smile, the same Kev. He'd always put other people first.
