Leeds United welcome Millwall to Elland Road for an all-Championship FA Cup fourth round tie on Saturday lunchtime (12:15 GMT).

    • Leeds have won eight of their past nine home games against Millwall in all competitions, with the exception being a 4-3 loss in January 2018.

    • This will be the first ever FA Cup meeting between Leeds and Millwall. Indeed, the only previous cup competition in which they've faced was the short-lived Full Members Cup, with the Lions winning both meetings 2-0 (December 1987 and November 1988).

    • Leeds could reach the FA Cup fifth round for the third consecutive campaign, which would be as many times as they'd reached this stage of the competition in the previous 22 seasons.

    • Millwall are looking to reach the FA Cup fifth round for the first time since 2018-19. However, they've lost each of their past six ties against sides from the same division or higher than themselves.

    • Leeds are set to play consecutive home games within the same FA Cup campaign for the first time since 2001, when they beat Barnsley 1-0 in the third round before losing to eventual winners Liverpool in round four.

Has Alex Neil overseen the best transfer window in Millwall's history?

On Wednesday we asked what you made of Millwall's business in the transfer window.

The Lions made three deadline day signings and a total of eight came through the door at The Den during the window, while homegrown favourite Romain Esse left his boyhood club for Premier League Crystal Palace.

Signings Tristan Crama, Aaron Connolly and Luke Cundle have settled quickly in south-east London - with the latter scoring on his debut against Queens Park Rangers a day after joining the club - while the club broke their transfer record to sign Camiel Neghli.

Here are some of your responses:

Billy: Excellent business, forward thinking and risk taking, but shows a big step in the right direction!

Alan D: Great window for Millwall but we need to be patient because we signed a lot of younger players. We are on 40 points already after 30 games, so we can now afford to go for it and take risks the rest of the season to win games. What's great is we can now make five subs of the same quality which is great for the manager. Over to you now Alex...

Paul: When Neil Harris decided to step down there seemed to be a fight going on behind the scenes. Thought it was going to leave us in a bad place but give credit where credit is due, the club looks like it's in a stronger position than ever before after the transfer window.

Dean: In 55 years as a Millwall fan I've never known a transfer window like it. Positive intent for the first time in years by signing so many youngsters rather than old has-beens on the way down. Exciting times ahead, hopefully.

S Lock: Millwall never sign significantly in the transfer windows but this month seems a lot different. The signings look good for future Lions teams. We have one of the oldest squads in the Championship, so these new players have definitely addressed that. The jury is out on whether it will be positive.

Terence: Brave new direction where ownership and management are openly demonstrating to younger players: "Come and develop your skills at Millwall and we won't stand in your way should a Premier League team make a fair bid for your services." Accepting their role as a feeder club just may end up bringing in such talent that they may get themselves promoted.

Neil: Really impressive. The strategy is clear to see and a change in direction was desperately needed. A lot is made of the 'Millwall way' which I think belittles us in many ways. Hopefully, this marks the new dawn, and we can watch footballers who have some technical ability.

Alan E: It is good to strengthen the squad but eight signings in this window seems excessive. There now seems an overload of wide players. I am concerned that they will not all get enough game time.

Andrew S: I think most Millwall fans will agree with this statement - I thought I was dreaming. The amount of young, promising talent we have signed is mind blowing. This sort of thing never happens at Millwall.

Full marks to chairman James Berylson, director of football Steve Gallen and new manager Alex Neil. I'm sure they won't all be successful [signings] but it's such a positive move by the club. Almost unprecedented. The only window I can liken it to is when John Docherty signed Tony Cascarino et al in 1987. And what happened then? We got promoted to the promised land.

Ian: Unbelievable. Through my 35 years of supporting this wonderful club we have always sold our talent and have seen them replaced with free agent journeymen. Now our recruitment policy is to invest in youth that can not only impact the team but also increase in value.

This window could arguably be our greatest ever, as all seven permanent signings have the potential to impact the first team but more importantly bring attacking flair into the side.

It's the start of exciting journey, which is unfamiliar to Millwall fans. Sure there will be bumps along the way but good times seem to upon us all at the Den.

Andrew M: We must be dark horses for a play-off position now?

Now the dust has settled, it's time to reflect on Millwall's very busy end to the transfer window.

The Lions made three deadline day signings before the window closed on Monday night, which included a return for the club's second youngest ever player.

A total of eight signings came through the door at The Den during the window, while homegrown favourite Romain Esse left his boyhood club for Premier League Crystal Palace.

Signings Tristan Crama, Aaron Connolly and Luke Cundle have settled quickly to life in south-east London - with the latter scoring on his debut against Queens Park Rangers just one day after joining the club.

And then there's club record signing Camiel Neghli, who was unveiled at The Den before Saturday's London derby victory over the Hoops - Millwall's third win in a row.

Lots to discuss, what are your thoughts? Send them in here.

  4. 'An extraordinary transfer window'published at 16:07 4 February

The departure of Romain Esse to Crystal Palace reportedly netted the Lions £14.5m

To borrow an old gag, transfer deadline day at The Den is usually just known as 'Monday'.

But the January 2025 window has been an extraordinary, record-breaking one, with a total of eight good quality, attack-minded signings - including a highest ever club transfer fee, believed to be £4.5m, paid for Dutch-Algerian prospect Camiel Neghli.

Blimey. 'This is not the Millwall that I know' - to borrow another ironic joke that periodically does the rounds of the Lions' scene.

This amazing flurry of activity has of course been fuelled by the two major outgoings this season.

A reported £7m for Zian Flemming to Burnley and most recently Romain Esse to Crystal Palace for a reported £14.5m.

Unusually for the Lions, we suddenly have resources to play with.

Club owner Jimmy Berylson has very much put his stamp on Millwall since assuming control from his beloved late father John in 2023.

The previously rather conservative approach of the club has been dramatically altered into a very exciting 'project'.

An approach in which we aim to find and develop talent that has escaped the top table's clutches - and hopefully sell it on at a profit.

This being a method of operation shown to work well by other smaller clubs such as Brentford and Bournemouth, both of whom are achieving Premier League success by judicious transfer dealings.

    Will it work?

Not every signing can be a hit of course, but the Jimmy Berylson rollercoaster ride in South Bermondsey promises to be a thrilling one.

Myself, I can't wait to get my next ticket. Roll up, roll up …

  5. 'It's important to win at home' - Neilpublished at 13:00 2 February

Alex Neil had three of his January signings in the team for Millwall's win at QPR

Millwall boss Alex Neil said it is important his team win at home, after they beat London rivals QPR 2-1 with three of his new January recruits in the team.

"I think what it [this run of results] does do is it shows how quickly football can change. The last home game here there was a lot of frustration conceding in the 97th minute [against Cardiff City], which I understand. I think since then we've been brilliant in terms of the performances and results," Neil told BBC Radio London.

"It was important to me today that we won at home. Most of our fans come to see us here so I want for them to go home happy and put on a performance and, more importantly, carry a threat and score goals. I think right from the start we did that today.

One the new January signings: "The boys have been brilliant. We always knew we'd be bringing players in and Romain [Esse] would be moving on provided someone came in and bought him. We knew we were going to bring in younger players and develop the style.

"The hard bit with all of that is to do it and win, and we're doing that. We're doing what we set out to do and at the moment it's going really well."

  6. Pick of the stats: Millwall v QPRpublished at 16:42 30 January

    Millwall and QPR club badges

Millwall take on QPR in a London derby at The Den on Saturday afternoon looking to continue their recent improvement in form.

The Lions ended a six-game winless run with two wins on the bounce and face a Hoops side who have been in impressive form themselves before a 2-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.

QPR had won eight of their previous 12 games (D3 L1) and are still within six points of the play-offs, while Millwall are seven points off the top six.

    • Millwall have won just three of their past 13 league games against QPR (D4 L6), though two of those victories have come on home soil via 2-0 scorelines.

    • QPR have won just two of their past 11 away league games against Millwall (D5 L4), failing to score in six matches during that time.

    • Following their victory away at Portsmouth (1-0), Millwall will be aiming to win three consecutive games in the Championship for the first time since November 2024 (a run of four under Neil Harris).

    • Having won each of their last two away league games against Plymouth and Hull, QPR will be looking to win three in succession on the road for the first time since October 2022.

    • No QPR player has been directly involved in more Championship goals this season than Rayan Kolli (6 – four goals, two assists), although only one of those six came in an away match (scored v Plymouth this month).

    Optimism.

Yes, it's amazing what a difference three points can make.

After a tough week at The Den, Saturday lunchtime's hard-fought win at Kenilworth Road answered a few questions that were hanging over this squad.

Of course this game was never going to be an extravaganza of free-flowing open play. And it certainly wasn't.

But if you're going to have a hard ground 1-0 result, then you want to be on the winning side of that scoreline.

And thanks to an excellent ball from our highly rated prospect Ra'ees Bangura-Williams to club record signing Mihailo Ivanovic, the issue was settled with his fantastic ball control and a 25-yard dipping strike into the bottom left corner.

A wonderful moment of skill to make up for a missed penalty earlier by another decent looking signing in Aaron Connolly.

On the down side, the Lions' injury crisis continues to mount with both Calum Scanlon and goalkeeper Lukas Jensen substituted after being hurt, both joining an ever-lengthening medical list that leaves us worryingly short in some areas.

But with a decent away win and some sterling performances by the likes of new signing Tristan Crama, Japhet Tanganga and Casper De Norre, Millwall can travel to relegation rivals Portsmouth tomorrow night feeling that 'O' word is stirring again in South Bermondsey.

  8. Pick of the stats - Portsmouth v Millwallpublished at 10:18 27 January

    Portsmouth and Millwall club badges

Portsmouth welcome Millwall on Tuesday night (19:45 GMT) to play out a game in hand after the fixture was called off because of a power failure on 27 November.

Pompey were thrashed 5-1 at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday but have won four on the bounce at Fratton Park and are unbeaten in their past seven on home soil (W6 D1).

Millwall ended a six-game winless run with a 1-0 victory at Luton at the weekend to move up to 16th, while Portsmouth are 21st, two points above the drop zone.

    • Portsmouth have lost just two of their past 19 home league games against Millwall (W10 D7), conceding more than one goal in just three of those matches.

    • Millwall have won both of their past two league games against Portsmouth, and will be looking to win three in succession against Pompey for just the second time in the EFL, having previously done so from 1923 to 1966.

    • Portsmouth have won six of their past seven home league games (D1), including each of their last four in a row, all while scoring 2+ goals.

    • Millwall have only won one of their past nine away league games played on a Tuesday (D4 L4), beating Plymouth 2-0 in October.

    • Millwall have only won two of their past 11 Championship away games at newly promoted opposition (D2 L7), wins over Plymouth (2-0) and Sheffield Wednesday (4-0) last term.
