James Ward-Prowse is due for a medical at Nottingham Forest after they agreed a loan deal with West Ham.
It is a straight loan for the season, with no option or obligation to buy, with the midfielder currently travelling to Nottingham.
The 29-year-old only joined the Hammers from Southampton for £30m last summer but does not feature in new manager Julen Lopetegui's plans.
Benfica defender Morato is also poised to move to the City Ground in a deal worth around 15m euros (£12.6m).
The 23-year-old Brazilian has made 78 appearances for Benfica, with Forest currently working on the deal.

Here's all you need to know about transfer deadline day on Friday...
When does the window close?
The transfer window will close at 23:00 BST on Friday, 30 August for the Premier League, English Football League and Scotland.
The date was brought forward by the domestic leagues to align with European leagues.
Across Europe, the Bundesliga window will close at 19:00, Ligue 1 at 22:00, La Liga at 22:59 and Serie A at 23:00, but the Saudi Pro League transfer window remains open until 7 September.
Can a Premier League player signed on deadline day play this weekend?
Under league rules, new signings are eligible for the next Premier League game if the club submit the required documents by midday on the last working day before that match.
So any player signed after 12:00 on deadline day would be unable to play in this round of Premier League fixtures.
Where can I see all the confirmed transfer deals on deadline day?
Clubs will be able to make transfers again from Wednesday, 1 January until Monday, 3 February at 23:00 GMT. This is the same in Germany, Italy, Spain and France.

England interim manager Lee Carsley has desrcibed Morgan Gibbs-White as "difficult to play against" after giving the midfielder his first senior call-up.
The pair worked together as England were triumphant in the Under 21 European Championships last summer
"Morgan is an very attacking player, full of energy and very exciting," Carsley said.
"He has a excellent work rate and is vey difficult to play against. He's been successful with England. A lot of these players that we brought in are used to winning and going to the later stages of tournaments."
Nuno on transfer search, 'top man' Wood and Wolvespublished at 14:43 29 August

Henry Brownsey BBC Sport journalist
Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo has been speaking to the media before Saturday's Premier League game against Wolves (kick-off 15:00 BST).
Here are the key lines from his news conference:
On Wednesday's Carabao Cup exit: "The performance was good, we started the game badly, the setback of conceding so early - but after that I thought the team reacted well, a lot of players making their debuts at the City Ground which was special for them and special for us."
On transfers: "We have 36 hours, I think the club is working to bring solutions and options to make us stronger and have a competitive squad. It's all about the profile of the player - it's not easy, especially in these last hours but it's also not easy because we already have talent and quality in the squad. As a club we are working and I expect to bring in some players."
He was asked if a striker is the priority before the deadline: "It's not about the position, it's about the profile - can he give us more than one option? Can he play more than one position? Do we already have this kind of profile? It's not about that it's about taking time, which we don't have but also about not making mistakes - a mistake now is the worst thing that can happen."
Nuno says Danilo had surgery two days ago which "went well" but he remains out. The boss added: " Ryan Yates has been ill, and the players from yesterday need assessing because "it was a demanding match for many of them".
The newcomers in the squad are "ready" to be starting league games, says Nuno. He feels Jota Silva has "settled down well", adding: "Credit to the squad and the players - the way they embrace the newcomers."
On his former side Wolves: "There's a lot of love and respect from our time that we worked there - it was special. It's a different game [to usual] and I wish them all the best for the other 36 games of the season."
On Gary O'Neil, Nuno said: "He did well last season, the beginning of last season not so good but it's part of our job. I think they have a strong squad with a lot of good players, and Gary is a good manager - we expect a tough opponent."
Chris Wood has started both league games so far this season and despite Forest being linked to other strikers, Nuno said: "We trust him, we give him confidence, he has good team-mates around him which helps. But he is a top striker and top man, he helps a lot in the dressing room - not only by how he conducts himself and works, but also how he helps his team-mates."

'A lot of chances but not the final shot'published at 07:55 29 August
07:55 29 August
Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo on the Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle: "It was a setback to concede in the first minute but the reaction was good. We had good spells against a good team.
"We had a lot of chances but not the final shot. The finishing was missing but overall good to see.
"We practice penalties a lot, a lot, a lot! We prepared but then it comes to the competition."
On the players who came in: "It was a good moment for them to show we have solutions.
"It is important we realise we have solutions. We could be more balanced. But moving forward we have more options and solutions because we have a hard task ahead of us."
In response to whether there will be some more signings: "Yes. We are working. In the ideal world we'd hope that it was done before but we still have two or three days to go."
Nottingham Forest 1-1 Newcastle (3-4 on pens): Mixed bag for new boyspublished at 22:31 28 August
22:31 28 August
Emlyn Begley BBC Sport journalist
Nottingham Forest used the Carabao Cup tie with Newcastle to blood a few of their summer signings.
There were debuts for Brazilian goalkeeper Carlos Miguel, teenage German right-back Eric da Silva Moreira, Aston Villa loanee Alex Moreno and Paraguay forward Ramon Sosa.
Miguel, standing at 6ft 8in, had a mixed night with his early parry giving Joe Willock an empty net to tap into.
But he made a few decent saves later on - and kept out Joelinton's spot-kick in the shootout.
Jota Silva, another summer recruit, made his first start for the club and his goal was one to remember, a fine first-time strike on a bouncing ball going in via the woodwork.
Elliot Anderson, a signing from their opponents, almost scored against his former club but his lob went just wide.
Nikola Milenkovic came on and netted his spot-kick too.

Forest running out of time in frustrating striker search published at 16:53 28 August
16:53 28 August
Nick Mashiter BBC Sport football news reporter
The last week of August was always going to be a transfer crescendo after a quiet summer following the Copa America and European Championships.
It means a slow start to the window and clubs have been braced for the pace increasing in the second half of the month.
Forest are no different and are still trying to sign a new striker before Friday's transfer deadline.
So far it has been frustrating, despite initial positive talks over Eddie Nketiah the club were the ones to back away from deal when it hit a snag, while their attempts to land Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord have failed.
Links to Ajax's Brian Brobbey have emerged but with just over 72 hours of the window left, time is running out.
Chris Woods' 14 goals in 20 Premier League starts last season was an excellent return but he needs sufficient support.
Jota Silva naturally needs times after his move from Vitoria Guimaraes and Ramon Sosa will hopefully provide the ammunition.
Taiwo Awoniyi, who scored eight times, needs to prove his fitness while Morgan Gibbs-White will expect more than the five goals he netted in the top flight last season.
