Caps for Wales’ forgotten female footballers

Wales’ forgotten female footballers have been officially recognised at an emotional ceremony in Cardiff.

Between 1973 and 1993 women were not awarded caps because the squad was not associated with the Football Association of Wales (FAW).

But now the governing body has presented almost 50 former players with their international caps at St Fagans National Museum of History.
