'I've taken my chance and stepped up' - Tinsdale
Hull City midfielder Nathan Tinsdale hopes his goal during their 2-1 friendly victory against Sunderlandon Wednesday will help "cement his spot" in the matchday squad for their upcoming Championship season.
The 20-year-old joined the Tigers Under-21 side from Bradford City in 2023 but will look to break into the first team this year under new boss Sergej Jakirovic.
"I've taken my chance and stepped up," Tinsdale told BBC Radio Humberside.
"I feel like this goal has cemented a spot in the team and hopefully I'm involved all season.
"With the situation at the club, I'd be looking to stay and try and be on the bench and make appearances. Scoring is definitely helping my case."
Hull City are currently under a transfer embargo this summer but the club has submitted an appeal.
