Formula 1 chiefs confirm a 19-race season for 2013

Formula 1's governing body has confirmed there will be 19 races in 2013 after a home could not be found for a 20th race.

A provisional date had been set aside for an additional European race on 21 July but a deal with a host circuit could not be reached.

Turkey, Portugal and Austria had all been touted as possible hosts after a new race in New Jersey was postponed.

The European Grand Prix had already been dropped from the 2013 calendar.

7 July - Germany (Nurburgring/Hockenheim)

28 July - Hungary (Hungaroring)

25 August - Belgium (Spa-Francorchamps, live on BBC)

8 September - Italy (Monza, live on BBC)

22 September - Singapore (Marina Bay)

6 October - Korea (Yeongam)

13 October - Japan (Suzuka, live on BBC)

27 October - India (Buddh International, live on BBC)

3 November - Abu Dhabi (Yas Marina)

17 November - United States (Austin)

24 November - Brazil (Interlagos, live on BBC)
