Red Bull's Mark Webber has dismissed rumours he has agreed a move to sportscars from next year and hinted he wants to stay in Formula 1.
Webber has been linked with a move to race for Porsche at Le Mans., external
But he told BBC Sport: "People are putting two and two together and getting a bit more than they should do.
"I'm looking forward to this year. As long as you're competitive and can get work, which is not a big issue for me at the moment, things are going well."
Webber has had a tempestuous season, following the controversy at the Malaysian Grand Prix when Sebastian Vettel ignored Red Bull team orders to pass Webber to win.
That has led to rumours that Webber, who is on a rolling one-year deal at Red Bull, will leave the team at the end of the year and that he has agreed a deal to drive for Porsche.
But asked if he wanted to stay in F1 in 2014, Webber said: "That's a good question. I still enjoy driving the cars. The tyres have made it a little bit more challenging - the job as a driver has changed a bit for sure, the camaraderie is massive.
"That's a big factor in this sport. This stuff [the speculation that surrounds F1], you get a bit long in the tooth for that.
"As you get older you get less tolerant of other aspects of the job but ultimately the drug is still very powerful, to drive you to do the job you wanted to do in the first place which is driving the car."
There have been rumours that Red Bull are close to signing Kimi Raikkonen, external for 2014 but team boss Christian Horner said: "We're at the fourth grand prix and we've already got one of the drivers leaving and Kimi Raikkonen coming.
"This combination of drivers in Mark and Sebastian has been one of the most successful in the history of the sport. They have won 35 grands prix and three Constructors' Championships.
"They've never really got on but they push each other, they're competitive and it's worked. Before changing anything I want to see how things settle down and how we move forward.
"When the time is right in the summer we will talk about the future. I have no problem with this line-up. They have been very successful for us. We'll sit down and discuss drivers when it's a bit more pertinent in the summer."
