Former Formula 1 driver Max Chilton will compete in this year's Le Mans 24-Hour race in June.

The Briton, who raced for two years in F1 with Marussia, will drive for Nissan at the World Endurance Championship opener at Silverstone on 12 April.

Chilton, 23, said: "Le Mans has always had an amazing following and to be racing there is a dream come true."

His F1 career stalled when Marussia went out of business in October. They have now come out of administration.

Now known as Manor Marussia, the team intend to return to the F1 grid this year.
