Charles Leclerc continues to be the guy who seems to be setting the pace.

Even though Verstappen is third, which is a bit more encouraging, he's still four-tenths off the pace.

Charles Leclerc jumps the McLaren of Oscar Piastri, complete with that Senna-inspired livery, with a time of 1:12.521 on the soft compound.

Australian Piastri, who is now Leclerc's adopted son for the weekend, is gearing up for another run but as he reaches Sainte Devote, Piastri bails out to sanctuary of the escape road.

The thing about lap times in Monaco is they do change all the time.

You are always finding time, in theory as a driver, you are just pushing yourself a little bit further every time you go into a corner, every time you run up against a barrier you want to get that extra couple of millimetres out of it and a little bit more performance.

Max Verstappen added a get-away-of-the-way hand gesture to his "my god" annoyance.

Meanwhile, Kevin Magnussen calls in to Haas to say Yuki Tsunoda's driving through The Tunnel was a tad dangerous.

[On why track temperatures have changed since FP2] We are running at a slightly different time of day, the more and more laps that these cars put down we are going to get more rubber down, there will be different types of rubber from the support races that have changed the dynamic from today and yesterday.

The traffic now is like prime rush hour, prompting Max Verstappen to let out a "my god" over the Red Bull team radio.

Oscar Piastri is currently top of the board with a 1:12.875 on the softs, with Charles Leclerc second and now Kevin Magnussen in third place.

George Russell is riding a very different front wing to Lewis Hamilton.

I don't know why but it looks to me that it's the front wing they were using last year.

The Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton is in the run-off area at Turn One and is doing some of his best reversing to get himself back among the track action after a big lock-up. Mission complete, so the track goes green once again, although Hamilton says his tyres are done.

The drivers have headed back out on track - the majority on softs - after a lengthy queue to rejoin the action.

George Russell goes to the top of the timesheets with a 1:13.988 but that marker is beaten by the Haas of Nico Hulkenberg with a time over three-tenths faster.

Bottas can't take part any further in FP3 and the team will be upset that he can't get that car back because he was so close, he just couldn't get it into the pit lane.

Valtteri Bottas is safely out of the car and the red flag is cleared.

Bottas hitting the exit at the swimming pool chicane, it looked like a light touch but it was enough to break that suspension, the front right wheel turning in on itself.

The weather looks glorious in Monaco at the moment. Sunshine and money.

Kevin Magnussen is on those soft C5 tyres and puts the opening time on the board with a 1:14.683 in the Haas.

Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes team-mate George Russell and the two Sauber boys are also out on the red compound.

I'm opposite McLaren and they are attempting to double stack their cars and they are doing it as just a practice.

These garages are so close together and it will be a real challenge that they want to maximise that opportunity if they need to do it.

George Russell heads back into the Mercedes garage after his first trip around Monaco on this sunny Saturday morning. He adds to his early information, saying the vibrations have calmed down now but the steering does feel heavy turning right, and lighter turning left.

You take it with a pinch of salt Max Verstappen and Red Bull, but Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari looks like he has genuine pace to threaten, and so does the McLaren, and maybe the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton.
